I've taken an all day course from Katie PM and I got a great deal out of the hands on work with her. However in a class setting there is often too much activity so by the time you get home and you put the class project aside you find yourself questioning what the order or the details. You can't take perfect notes and work on the project and gain everything at once. I picked this up as a look see in case there were additional tips I didn't recall from the class.
I found this DVD a good review of each of her steps to accomplish a quilt in her styles. Sure, I would have liked it to go into further depth on color shades and depths. Another persom may want futher explanation on the photo selection. However if you are working with her books as well this can easily get you past any bottlenecks in your understanding.
The quality of the video is excellent. Great lighting and clarity. Katie speaks well into the camera and obviously is at ease with the topic.

This DVD is excellent! The production quality is top-notch, the instructions are clear, precise and thorough and Katie comes across as a friendly teacher. Thanks to the techniques I learned on this DVD, I was able to create a fused zebra quilt for my daughter that would be been impossible to piece traditionally! Thanks Katie!

Katie Pasquini Masopust visually demonstrates the steps for creating and preparing a pattern for your own art quilt. The video made the process seem doable and is a good visual companion for her book Design Explorations for Creative Quilters.

Katie takes you through each step one by one to help you achieve a wonderful quilt fairly easily in no time at all using your picture or photo that you want to reproduce. I would recommend this DVD to any moderate level of quilter.
Katies Book; Colour and Composition is wonderful. It takes you through a lot of exercises to help make decisions in completing your finish your art quilt.

Detailed and enjoyable, a good source for learning to use the design wall and color theory. Teaches the basic ideas for designing an art quilt using the visual clues and color theory to create a finished project with her method.

I love her quilts, now I know how she does it! I'm out buying more Totally Stable now!
