I got this for our garage, where it gets heavy use for power tools. It's amazing how different this receptacle is from the standard budget garbage. Everything about it is solid and well thought out. Plugs slide in and out really smoothly, but won't pull out accidentally. Wiring is via a really neat internal clamping system - no fiddling around curling a wire around a screw.

I have an outdoor wood grill that uses a heating element during its start up cycle (like an electric charcoal starter). The grill would always trip the cheapo GFCI that was installed with the house (the GFCI is in the garage and the outside outlets are chained off of it). After reading on a bunch of forums around the internet about this problem (high current causing GFCI tripping), the overwhelming recommendation was to replace it with a Pass & Seymour. Well it was the correct solution, I've ran the grill dozens of times now and its been working perfectly, and it still tripped when I did accidentally short out a shop light.

Outstanding quality receptacle!,

I have installed over a dozen of these around the house, in locations that involve frequent insertion/removal of high power devices such as hair dryers, toaster oven, clothes iron, vacuum cleaner etc. As mentioned in the other review, they have superior plug retention -- ensures better electrical contact, reducing the risk of overheating & fire.
Another advantage is that this receptacle doesn't protrude into the wallbox as deeply as the standard GFCI receptacles do. This makes it easier to install, especially in crowded wallboxes with lots of feed-through wiring. The trade-off is, however, that the receptacle does protrude past the faceplate a tiny bit more. Overall this product is of top-notch quality. Any time I need to replace a 'standard' decorator GFCI outlet, I upgrade to one of these!
