5.0 out of 5 stars An Absolute MUST Have for your first trip to WDW!
We read about 9 books on WDW - several were very good but this one was absolutely the best.

1 - the information was accurate. This is MUCH more than I can say for the best selling WDW Guide for folks with kids.
2 - there were dozens of useful recommendations regarding fright factors for rides and attractions that helped us a great deal with two small...

3.0 out of 5 stars A Good Read
A very interesting and informative book, although, it didn't really help me as much as others because I had already purchased my Disney vacation. I was looking for tips and hints on how to make the trip better and a lot of the book is the planning of your trip (ie. where to stay, to fly or drive, properties on and off Disney property, etc.). I was looking for tips and hints on how to make the trip better and a lot of the book is the planning of your trip (ie. where to stay, to fly or drive, properties on and off Disney property, etc.). It did help me though with it's detailed info on Disney attractions, restaurants and shopping. Still very worth the money as it's priced right.

We read about 9 books on WDW - several were very good but this one was absolutely the best.

1 - the information was accurate. This is MUCH more than I can say for the best selling WDW Guide for folks with kids.
2 - there were dozens of useful recommendations regarding fright factors for rides and attractions that helped us a great deal with two small children.
3 - the planning materials were very nice and its format made it useful inside the park as well as before we went.
4 - the website that the authors have is a treasure trove of information beyond the books. Its updated constantly which can REALLY save you money and time when going to WDW.
5 - Its convenient size, shape, and format make using it as your travel planner for your trips easy as possible.
6 - many of the Maps inside are better (more detailed, practical for trip planning, and usable) than the beautiful free ones Disney mailed us.

All I can say is that this is the best value and most informative of the books we own. We've updated to the 2008 version and keep learning new things about WDW with each installment of the PassPorter series!

UPDATE 06/26/2011: We continue to use the Passporter series of books but have upgraded because things change pretty quickly at WDW. Still an amazing value and continues to be the MOST accurate book we have ever read on WDW for visitors. Even after several years as Annual passholders these books are still MUST HAVES for us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't go to WDW without this book!!, January 25, 2008

If you want to get your money's worth during your next "World" vacation, bring this book!!! We have used this book for 3 trips to WDW so far, and have found this tool to be invaluable. I use it to plan our days, meal reservations, hold reciepts, jot down memorable moments, and keep tabs on our budget. When we return, I use the info in the book to organize my scrapbook.

Very easy to read, great maps, nice format. A must for the WDW traveler!!

This is the best Walt Disney World Book out there!

I will admit that I have to buy every book available when planning a trip. I need to know all of the information and make sure I hit the best spots. Well, for WDW, this is the best that there is!

I love how it is "interactive" and I can easily make notes, keep other papers in here in the folders, add stickers (yes, they have stickers and even tabs), and keep track of my plans, budget, whatever you can think of!

There are incredible tips, lots of different viewpoints, and just a perfect amount of information. The web site they compliments the book wonderfully, too.

I highly recommend this book for any WDW planners!

I recently rush-ordered this book when having to plan a trip to Walt Disney World on very short notice.

Not only did this book make the planning a lot simpler and efficient, but it was also a great way for me to organize my trip once I was there, to get the most out of my time.

While I'd taken out the usual Fodor's and Frommer's guides from the library, I found them too packed with information, and it was hard to quickly find the specific information that I needed to know at any given moment.

That's where this product shined.

Light enough to easily carry in a backpack, constructed in a way that makes it easy to hold and quickly flip through, and easy to stuff additional papers inside (such as daily itineraries and notes) - the PassPorter guide was just the trick. It was a snap for me to quickly find what I needed when I needed it.

Stick a pen in the binding loops, and some sticky tabs on a few keys pages, and you're ready to go.

The kind of things that I found very useful were the quick listings of park attractions (about a paragraph long description for each attraction or ride), with simple icons and color coding, and little things like the quick reference pages, telling you basic things like how to easily get from each park / resort / dinner theater event to another in the Walt Disney World grounds. (In other words, the kind of things you want to know quickly on the spot)

Some parts were not so useful once you'd already planned your trip (for example, the whole section on accomodations was rather moot for me, since I'd already booked my hotel).

But overall - it's a nice companion to the more in-depth guides, like Fodor's and Frommer's, without the information overload.

This is the kind of book that you'll mark up as you go, checking off where you've been, and not feel bad about it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best WDW guide EVER!!!!, March 13, 2008

I have purchased several travel guides for Walt Disney World over the years, and this one is an absolute MUST HAVE! The travel worksheets are great tools for planning your "magical" vacation, and the tips are invaluable! However, I believe what sets this book apart from the rest of the travel companions out there are the pockets for your tickets, receipts, etc. If you are a scrapbooker like me, this book makes it easy for you to journal each day's highlights for future reference. The handy pockets keep all your mementos together, so when you get ready to scrapbook your vacation everything is right there in the book!

4.0 out of 5 stars great maps, June 16, 2008
This review is from: PassPorter's Walt Disney World 2008: The Unique Travel Guide, Planner, Organizer, Journal, and Keepsake! (Spiral-bound)
I've bought a few books for our upcoming WDW trip, and this one has by far the most detailed maps that I've seen. It shows where the restaurants are, the bathrooms, shopping areas, etc. so you can get yourself well-oriented with the layout of the parks before actually getting there. As far as the whole WDW complex, the map is not too bad, but I've been looking at google earth for that kind of detailed information - the proximity from the hotels to the different parks, where the toll plazas and parking lots are - things of that nature. This book doesn't have extremely detailed touring plans - just some general guidelines, but still a lot of very helpful information. It has some good tips and info regarding the dining plan - the breakdown of prices, which I thought was very useful because then you can straight up compare how much money you are actually "saving" if you choose to purchase the Disney Dining Plan. And it has a little journal where you can keep records/memories of your trip, and it's spiral bounded, which I love. So if your looking for planning info, it's great, but if you've already planned and want actual touring plans, you might be happier with a different purchase.

This review is from: PassPorter's Walt Disney World 2008: The Unique Travel Guide, Planner, Organizer, Journal, and Keepsake! (Spiral-bound)
When planning our trip I have bought just about every book I could find about Walt Disney World. I have to say that the Passporter is the best. They put just the right amount of information. I found the section called "Feasting" very helpful in choosing the restaurants for my family. Also, I like that it has places to write your itinerary and other info needed such as reservation numbers.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST Disney book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, April 26, 2008
This review is from: PassPorter's Walt Disney World 2008: The Unique Travel Guide, Planner, Organizer, Journal, and Keepsake! (Spiral-bound)
I was planning my family's first trip to Disney. I wanted to get the most out of our vacation, so I purchased 3 Disney travel books: Birnbaum's, The Unofficial Guide, and Passporter's. Passporter's was by far the best!!!!!! It has all the information you need about restaurants (good luck finding much information elsewhere!) and the maps were far superior to the ones handind out by Disney! I had to rip them out of the book to use them while we were in the parks because the Disney ones were hard to follow. It was a priceless addition that helped with our trip so much! Don't hesitate to buy!

This was a helpful book. I am not a journal keeper, but if you are that is an added bonus. It was useful for planning ahead which always saves time.
