Dave Marx is cofounder and publisher of PassPorter Travel Press and along with Jennifer Marx, has co-authored 28 PassPorter guidebooks. He discovered Disneyland in 1975, the Walt Disney World Resort in 1997 and first cruised with Disney in October 1999. He's since booked passage with Disney 18 more times and, as with Jennifer Marx, was aboard for the Christening and maiden voyage of the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy Inaugural.

Jennifer Marx's most noteworthy cruises include the Disney Magic's eastbound Panama Canal crossing in August 2005, and a 2006 Mediterranean cruise researching Disney's 2007 Mediterranean visit. She is the author of more than 30 books, including the guide that started it all: PassPorter's Walt Disney World.

Jennifer and Dave's 9-year-old son, Alexander Marx, is a veteran visitor to Walt Disney World and has cruised the Mediterranean and sailed from Los Angeles to Port Canaveral, FL via the Panama Canal. Lots of helpful information.

The book also serves as a memory book with places to write in details of the trip and pockets for collecting important items like tickets/receipts, etc.

Again, I've bought one for every Disney trip we've taken since they started making PassPorter.

Disney parks aren't cheap, but the fact that they are consistently among the top vacation destinations in the world -- and the fact that fanatics like me keep going back -- show that they are incredible places, and worth the occasional expense. They are packed with things to do, and (especially in the case of Walt Disney World) incredibly large and overwhelming, so you'll want to get the most out of your vacation dollar. That takes planning.

I cannot honestly say that PassPorter is the best Disney travel book out there. Why not? Because once I got my hands on a PassPorter, I didn't bother looking at any other travel books. There was no need -- PassPorter has everything. It's hard to compare other books when I haven't seen them.

I discovered PassPorter when planning my first trip to Walt Disney World with my boys over eleven years ago, and even now that I'm a Disney "pro," it's still a valuable resource for me. With its Walt Disney World guidebook in its 16th edition, PassPorter is a unique combination of trip planner, travel guide, organizer and journal.

It works wonderfully as a trip planner. Not only is PassPorter jam-packed with information about the Walt Disney World Resort's parks, hotels, and recreational opportunities, but it provides tips on travel times, weather, and budgeting, along with planning pages and worksheets. It's clear that the information comes from the collective experience of many seasoned travelers and can be fully trusted.

At the back of each guidebook is a set of "PassPockets," an exclusive feature which provides easy-reference, fill-in-the-blank pages for your travel details, as well as storage space for receipts, notes, tickets, and other keepsakes.

I wanted to love this book, but I didn't. To be fair I've been to Disney before and I've also purchased other Disney related travel books. I'm obsessed with reading up on tips and tricks and I purchase a new book every year. I decided I wanted to read something different this time around so I choose the PassPorter. Let me start by saying it's not a bad book in any sense of the word. I just feel like the information provided is very basic and one sided. There are other books out there that give me far more information and have helped determinded where I stay in the future, where I plan to eat and what I plan to do once I'm at the parks. One thing I give props for is the estimated time they tell you it takes to travel from point to point in the park. On our first trip I planned our days to the minute and that information would be really useful to someone going for their first time. I do like the idea of using it is a "scrapbook" and keeping all those papers and dining reservations in one area. Overall it's not a bad book, but not the one I'd recommend first when people ask.

The digital version was not updated to work on electronic displays. It looks like a bad photo copy. Content seems ok but if you really want to appreciate the value of this material, go with the hard copy.

I love the Passporter -- first, because they do a great job updating information, and second, they are great looking full color books with an awesome pocket section in the back....I use each pocket as a separate visit to WDW for park maps, tickets, paper mementos...I have a whole library of them stretching back for years in my Living Room and they are fun for family and friends to leaf through.

For anyone planning a trip to Disney, I cannot speak highly enough of this book. I picked it up maybe a month before we were set to leave. I had read about it on one of the websites I received daily Disney emails from. It is worth it's weight in gold, believe me! I wish to to goodness that I had known about it earlier and had it from the very get go, when we first said, "Let's plan a trip to Disney". If you are even CONSIDERING a trip, pick this book up.

It has more information than you could ever begin to imagine. It ALSO is a great thing to take with you ON the trip. We used it throughout the vacation. It has all sorts of handy stuff, including beautiful fold out maps and a whole section at the end that is like a journal - little pockets to organize your receipts and anything else you may want to save and a place to write down everything about your day (up to a 10 day trip) with handy questions to prompt you. We had a ball with it and it helped organize little memories we might forget over time.

A few tidbits that I was surprised to find as I read through it and surprised by how much detail it went into -

1. It reviews EVERY Disney resort, right down to specific rooms to request for specific views!
2. It reviews EVERY restaurant on Disney property
3. It gives VERY helpful transportation information - how to travel between parks/resorts/etc AND even MORE helpful, the approximate travel time between points
4. Speaking of travel times - the pull out maps actually give you estimated walking times between points, which can be very helpful in ensuring you get to your fast pass rides in time!
5. It gives you the "best viewing areas" for parades, fireworks, shows - takes the guess work out and allows you to plan ahead
6.
