Just got back from Angkor and bought 3 picture books.Passage Through Angkor by Mark Standen has great photos. It is an enjoyable and easy book. It is a bit larger than a sheet of paper (8&1/2 x 11) and thick with photos. It gets higher marks than the 2 gaint coofee table books I bought which were more expensive and much more detailed. The extensive details are terrific for an expert, but not very good for 95% of the readers. So, I recommend Standen's book. |
