This album contains the hit OLHOS NOS OLHOS which transitioned Bethania from an FM elite-type singer into an AM radio popular singer in Brazil.It starts with an ode to some orixas, AS AYABAS and a ballad named MAE MARIA.There is a rural flavor to this disk as shown in the excellent tunes FESTA and A BAHIA TE ESPERA.Her purry voice sounds as good as ever set against the backdrop of the arrangements varying from track to track.Interestingly, the album closes with the title track PASSARO PROIBIDO as sung by brother Caetano.
