I read this book in French also and it was wonderful. It is like a historical novel. Rich characters, good story line, interesting, inspiring, and well researched.

This book is absolutely beautiful - I read it in French -Very well written with evocative, poetic images. Each word is chosen with care. It takes places in the early Middle Ages-The protagonist is a glass maker who will learn and battle with the challenges of stained glass. Knights, noble sentiments, colors, pure loving feelings, stained glass, inner stuggle to reach high artistic ideal - all weave through this beautiful book - I think the cover does not give it justice. Anyway, a true enchantment! A must read - in French if you can....I want to read more from this author.
