Pino Daniele stikes back with his consuete beautiful album.Italy is shining...

5.0 out of 5 stars a Pino Daniele fan in San Francisco, October 30, 2004

I saw (and heard) Pino Daniele for the first time on MTV in Rome. I was immediately hooked. Went out that day to buy this album and brought it back with me to the US and have been turning all my friends on to his sound.

One need not speak Italian to understand what the the songs mean. Pino's music transcends language barriers. The heart translates what the brain can not.

4.0 out of 5 stars memories of Italy, October 12, 2005
This review is from: Passi D'Autore (Audio CD)
We first heard Pino Daniele in 2002 in Erice, Sicily. His CD "Medina" quickly became the anthem of our family's 3 month stay. We wore grooves into the CD, and were disappointed to find that Pino Daniele's music was not available in the US. Until I discovered it was, through Amazon. Passi D'Autore is more "pop" than Medina, with less of the interesting Middle Eastern overtones. But his lush arrangements and vocals, and just the melodic sound of his Italian words, bring back great memories of Italy.

Saw him sing this album near Florence this year. An artist taking risks and at the peak of his writing skills. Melodic, delightful.
