Come on after this long no reviews. These guys ROCK!, March 27, 2011
This review is from: The Passing (Audio CD)
I played for the band Byzantine, and we were actually signed because of Lamb Of God. These guys deserve just as much attention if not more, the song structures, production, musicianship, and writing are just great. Sure the songs go through the basic, start, hook, chrous, repeat, but its just awesome. There is an overlay of keyboards that really give it a creepy gothic over vibe, if that's even a proper term. These guys also have multiple personalities, one minute your on a song like Cold, thinking wow it's Helloween meets Iron Maiden. Next thing you know you have a song like delirium in vengeance that cries old Soilwork, Chainheart Machine days. The very sonic, and dynamic I, Divine is a killer track where the singer gives a great vocal calling to Andi Deris, that's actually who he sounds like, just a bit more aggressive at times. Also there is the occasional polyrythmic Meshuggah vibe in certain tracks like Bloodline and Reason Is Truth(which is very Death Metal) to say the least. So these guys cover all bases, and the bases are loaded. I want to hear more, so i hope they are still around, they have even more untapped potential i think, and i can really be a huge band with a nudge in the right direction. So thumbs up for Machinery, every song, and i do mean every song is just great. No fillers here. So listen to this stuff, you'll be glad you did.
