WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT, June 20, 2007
This review is from: Passion (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
After reading several of the great reviews, I was looking forward to reading this book. I now wish I had not wasted my time (only made it half way thru) and my money.
The switch between first and third person writing style, was hard to follow at times. I also was not drawn into the characters, and frankly wasn't lead to care about them at all.
In the future I will pay more attention to ALL reviews.

Engaging and Steamy, May 12, 2006
This review is from: Passion (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
Passion by P.F. Kozak is certainly stimulating! I felt transported to each physical location and enraptured by the charcters' experiences. The author's deft descriptions -- I felt the wind in my hair and the tingle on my skin -- left me breathless and wanting more.
A terrific story about a self-confident professional woman (she writes scholarly books) who may be a bit shy around men who gets another kind of education when she meets a charming, strong, handsome, capable man.
There is some initial squirming (an awkward experience immediately familiar to anyone who has ever felt that "rush"), which the author portrays with aplomb. As they get to know each other, they treat each other as equals both in terms of being lovers and friends, which very much impressed me.
The dialogue is fresh and realistic. Alternating between the two, the passages bring you inside the minds of the lovers during erotic scenes, a device I found to be extremely fulfilling. These internal dialogues also show a witty and often enlightening "behind the scenes" description of the simple misunderstandings and confusions between men and women.
I highly recommend Passion by P.F. Kozak.

WOW! INCREDIBLY SEXY AND SMART!!!!!, May 11, 2006
This review is from: Passion (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
When I read erotica, I usually know exactly what to expect--a so-so story, but plenty of explicit sex. What surprised me about PASSION was the intellectual quality of the story. Kozak has a lush and lyrical style with sensuality that is just out of this world--incredibly passionate, undeniably tasteful. The story is evocative, raw, and definitely gives you something to think about.
I didn't think I'd enjoy a narrative that alternated points of view between hero and heroine--thinking that perhaps it would be repetitive, but their voices were completely hypnotic. Kozak manages to use this formula to create multi-dimensional and engaging characters whose voices stay with a reader long after the book is closed.
This writer seamlessly blended varying elements of human thought and emotion with scorching sex scenes and plenty of drama. I appreciated the way forbidden desires and fantasies were dealt with. Ivan was an incredible hero- a man's man, unbelievably sexy, but also flawed. Pash was a great heroine--brilliant, passionate, and strong. Watching these two overcome various hurdles and move towards a wonderful monogamous relationshiop was marvelous. Time well spent.
This was an amazing read ;)
