Passion by P.F. Kozak is certainly stimulating! I felt transported to each physical location and enraptured by the charcters' experiences. The author's deft descriptions -- I felt the wind in my hair and the tingle on my skin -- left me breathless and wanting more.

The switch between first and third person writing style, was hard to follow at times. I also was not drawn into the characters, and frankly wasn't lead to care about them at all.

In the future I will pay more attention to ALL reviews.

Passion by P.F. Kozak is certainly stimulating! I felt transported to each physical location and enraptured by the charcters' experiences. The author's deft descriptions -- I felt the wind in my hair and the tingle on my skin -- left me breathless and wanting more.

A terrific story about a self-confident professional woman (she writes scholarly books) who may be a bit shy around men who gets another kind of education when she meets a charming, strong, handsome, capable man.

There is some initial squirming (an awkward experience immediately familiar to anyone who has ever felt that "rush"), which the author portrays with aplomb. As they get to know each other, they treat each other as equals both in terms of being lovers and friends, which very much impressed me.

The dialogue is fresh and realistic. Alternating between the two, the passages bring you inside the minds of the lovers during erotic scenes, a device I found to be extremely fulfilling. These internal dialogues also show a witty and often enlightening "behind the scenes" description of the simple misunderstandings and confusions between men and women.

I highly recommend Passion by P.F. Kozak.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! INCREDIBLY SEXY AND SMART!!!!!, May 11, 2006
By
This review is from: Passion (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
When I read erotica, I usually know exactly what to expect--a so-so story, but plenty of explicit sex. What surprised me about PASSION was the intellectual quality of the story. Kozak has a lush and lyrical style with sensuality that is just out of this world--incredibly passionate, undeniably tasteful. The story is evocative, raw, and definitely gives you something to think about.

I didn't think I'd enjoy a narrative that alternated points of view between hero and heroine--thinking that perhaps it would be repetitive, but their voices were completely hypnotic. Kozak manages to use this formula to create multi-dimensional and engaging characters whose voices stay with a reader long after the book is closed.

This writer seamlessly blended varying elements of human thought and emotion with scorching sex scenes and plenty of drama. I appreciated the way forbidden desires and fantasies were dealt with. Ivan was an incredible hero- a man's man, unbelievably sexy, but also flawed. Pash was a great heroine--brilliant, passionate, and strong. Watching these two overcome various hurdles and move towards a wonderful monogamous relationshiop was marvelous. Time well spent.

This was an amazing read ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars An Erotic Fantasy Masterpiece!, December 8, 2006
This review is from: Passion (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
P.F. Kozak pulls it all together in this contemporary erotic romance. Pash, short for Passion Flower, is a beautiful, intelligent, and successful writer, who has been disappointed in a string of unsuccessful emotional and physical relationships. She lives at times in her sexual fantasy world with her ideal "highway man" that fulfills all her sexual fantasies. Ivan is a successful and handsome college professor who is unfulfilled sexually and emotionally and acts out his loneliness and emotional frustrations in numerous dangerous sexual relationships with his female students. He spends his summers with his close family friend Steve, helping Steve with his horse stable business. Gwen, Steve's girlfriend and friend of Pash, sets Pash up with riding lessons at Steve's stables. It is there that Pash meets Ivan. Immediately when these two lonely, lovely, sexy, unfulfilled and needy people meet, the sparks fly. Passion is not merely a contemporary love story with erotic sex scenes. P. F. Kozak, in a brilliant writing style, shows the reader what lust, sex, passion, need, want, fantasy, fulfillment, friendship, true love and finding your true mate really mean. This reviewer must admit I will usually pick up a contemporary romance and slap it right back down on the shelf because it seems most contemporary romance novels are a disappointment with the love interests, mostly the female, analyzing and analyzing the relationship (with a little bit of sex slipped in to try to make it interesting) to the point where the reader gets so bored you just stop reading because you simply cannot believe there can be characters so stupid and the erotic contemporaries are just sex. P.F. Kozak knows how to pull together the perfect blend of story and erotica. Passion is an intelligent, thought provoking, sexy read. I loved this book, mostly because the reader comes to realize how the loving long term relationship, that one true love with passion and great sex, can grow and exist.

I have only owned this book a short time, but I have already read it 4 times! It is so HOT, and gets hotter each time I read it! It's a good thing the warning is on the back of the book! I end up taking cold showers after every reading session with this book, and I'm sure that anyone else that reads it will have to do the same! Enjoy it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOOKING FORWARD TO P.F. KOZAK NEXT BOOK, July 3, 2006

This was an awesome read. I didn't want the story to end. After the first read a took the weekend and read it a second. I am now having Passion and Ivan withdrawals. I just might have to read it a third. The transititions from Passion and Ivan thoughts are amazing. The relationship between the two is one that I would hope someday to have. It was like he was reading her mind and fullfilling all her wants and needs and at the same time living out his own fantisies. I would recommend this book to anyone who is just starting a relationship or who is looking to spice up the one that they are in.

4.0 out of 5 stars Passion, February 6, 2007
This review is from: Passion (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
Passion Platonov wants to take riding lessons. Through her friend Gwen and her boyfriend Steve, Pash is set up with Ivan Kozak.

Pash is very attracted to Ivan immediately; he resembles the man that stars in her deepest fantasies. Ivan too is taken with Pash and he is determined to get her into his bed.

Things move forward rather quickly between Pash and Ivan, but there are obstacles in their way. Ivan's friend Steve is set on keeping them apart and Ivan has some issues of his own to work through. They are surprised and pleased to discover that their relationship is becoming very special and extremely passionate though.

Their compatibility is growing but the obstacles remain. If they can steer their way through them, they will find the greatest love waiting for them.

Passion is written in the first person from both Ivan and Pash's perspective. At first, I found this to be a bit confusing but reading both sides of the story gave it a very interesting and unique viewpoint. Reading Passion is like watching an English play unfold where the characters explore their sexuality and discover themselves in the process. The fantasies Pash and Ivan share are arousing, and their ability to accept everything about each other without jealousy is amazing. Passion is a unique and cleverly written story. It swept me along on Pash and Ivan's journey of sexual discovery that lead to a one of a kind love. It's very well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars erotic contemporary tale, May 7, 2006
This review is from: Passion (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
Passion enjoys teaching, but also appreciates escaping the classroom for the summer. She also apparently takes immense delight with the literature she teaches as for instance the hunk star of the poem The Highwayman haunts her dreams so vividly she feels concerned because his "touch" seems so real.

Needing to escape her own fantasies as much as the classroom, Pash works at her best friend's stable in Shaftesbury while taking up horseback riding. Her instructor Ivan is at the stable as a favor to a friend. When he meets Pash he wants to teach her more than just riding a horse. She fantasizes riding him as he becomes the star of her dreams. However, as they begin to share erotic lessons in love, Ivan hides from Passion that his "day" job is as a doctor at the university; he takes summers off with this year teaching one beautiful author how to ride a thoroughbred.

This erotic contemporary tale of sex and love between academics working at a stable is a hot romance from the moment that Pash passionately dreams of the Highwayman (Alfred Noyes would appreciate Pash's vivid description). The story line is torrid in the bedroom, the stable, and a few other locales and with ties that bind. Though the likable support cast ironically feels like peeping tom intruders, fans will immensely gain pleasure from this titillating tale.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Surprised!!, December 27, 2006
This review is from: Passion (Aphrodisia) (Paperback)
I randomly purchased this book because I am a bit of a horse fanatic and was very surprised by how much I loved it! This book is mainly an erotic romance about a professor who works on a farm during his summer break and a writer with mystical powers. I wish the author would have developed Passion's powers more, but it was a great book! I also loved the way the author played back and forth between the characters thoughts. It was very well done!
I highly recommend this book, but it is rather explicit.

I was immediately pulled into this book. The story is terrific. The story of Passion or Pash as she's referred to is a tantalizing, erotic read that I highly recommend.
