About the Author
Jurgen Moltmann is Professor Emeritus of Theology at the University of Tubingen, Germany, and one of the most prominent and revered scholars in contemporary Christian theology. From 1963-1983, he was a member of the Faith & Order Committee of the World Council of Churches. He is the author of numerous influential books including The Theology of Hope, The Crucified God, The Way of Jesus Christ, The Spirit of Life, and The Coming of God, for which he was awarded the prestigious Grawemeyer Award on Religion in 2000.
Elisabeth Moltmann-Wendel is a theologian, journalist, and author. Inspired by American feminist theology, she became a founder of the Feminist Theology in Germany and was active in researching and lecturing in this new field of theology. Her publications translated into English include Freedom-Equality-Sisterhood, The Women around Jesus, A Land Flowing with Milk and Honey, I Am My Body, and Rediscovering Friendship.
