One of the best albums I've owned!
Jason Largent
That's the heart behind this album, and thank you Passion for blessing us with your music and for singing the Truth of the Gospel for the Kingdom of God.
Kevin Davis
This dilutes the overall quality of what is an excellent album.

Passion: Let The Future Begin was recorded live at the annual Passion Conference in Atlanta. I eagerly wait for each new Passion worship collection. From the beginning 268Generation has been rooted in the confession of Isaiah 26:8: "Yes Lord, walking in the way of Your truth we wait eagerly for You, for Your name and renown are the desire of our souls." As a result, Passion seeks to gather college and university students across the nation and around the world to seek the face of God, asking Him to ignite in our souls a passionate pursuit of Jesus Christ and a desire to spread His fame to everyone on earth. I've been collecting every Passion worship collection since the inception in 1998. The conferences have developed and introduced the worship leaders David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Christy Nockels, Charlie Hall, and Kristian Stanfill. This collection features the return of all of those names, and the introduction to Brett Younker.

My favorite Chris Tomlin led songs have generally been the new live recordings found on the Passion worship collections, going back to "We Fall Down," "Enough," "How Great Is Our God," "God Of This City," "Our God" and "White Flag." This collection begins with the great new "dance" worship anthem "God's Great Dance Floor," and unlike previous Tomlin led songs, you probably won't be adding that song to your church services. Don't fret, however as you'll certainly be singing the other new Chris Tomlin led songs "Whom Shall I Fear (God Of Angel Armies)," "Once And For All," "We Glorify Your Name" and "Shout," featuring Matt Redman. "God's Great Dance Floor" was written by Martin Smith from Delirious and is an unashamed declaration of faith to God wrapped around a new contemporary electronic musical style.

Prime Cuts: Shout (Chris Tomlin & Matt Redman), Revelation Song (Kari Jobe), My Delight is in You (Christy Nockels)

With the greatest propensity to leave the church, college-age students are the most viable victims to the subtle temptations of the world. Many have just left home for the first time; unequipped to face their new found freedom many could not resist the booze, the drugs, the casual sex and the party life of college life. Thank God for the vision of Pastor Louie Giglio. Instead of watching many of these young adults race along the broad road of destruction, Giglio wanted to bring the Gospel to them. What a better in-road into than to create a party that is saturated with passion for Jesus! Each year at the Dome Stadium in Atlanta, thousands of young adults would gather to hear God's truth proclaimed in word and music set in a partying setting. The live worship music at these conferences are so raved about that it was recorded and released as albums. Many of these records have not only hit the pinnacle of Billboard's charts, but these albums have also functioned as platforms to launch careers of many contemporary Christian artists. Over the years, Hillsong United, David Crowder, Jami Smith and Tim Hughes have all graced the Passion stage. "Let the Future Begin," is the 20th record released from the Passion conference. Like many of its predecessors, this is a live recording of 14 tracks (15 if you get the deluxe version) were recorded over the three-day conference earlier this year.

Just like last year's "White Flag," Chris Tomlin and Kristian Stanfill get to sing leads on the most cuts. Tomlin, who has led worship at Passion's conferences right from its inception, is also the event's most sought after worship leader.

Chris Tomlin and friends have done it again. This is more than likely going to be the best Christian praise and worship album this year. Again! There are a number of excellent songs on this album. My favorite has to be David Crowder's (DC) "Here's My Heart", written by Chris Tomlin (CT). It is a simple but powerful song, one that can easily be learned and sung by church congregations. It definitely was not what I expected from him! My second favorite song was written by CT and Martin Smith, "God's Great Dance Floor". It is such an awesome, ALIVE song. You should seriously view the YouTube video. Search for "Passion 2013" and the song name. I am surprised that the Georgia Dome did not collapse with everyone dancing to this song!

Other excellent songs are Kari Jobe's version of "Revelation Song", the whole crew (CT, DC, Matt Redman (MR) & Kristian Stanfill KF)) singing "Once and For All (We Believe)" and CT singing "Whom Shall I Fear (God Of Angel Armies)". These are all awesome songs!

There are five songs that I would rate as very good: MR's "Jesus, Only Jesus", KF's "The Lord Our God", Brett Younker and CT leading in "Burning In My Soul", "We Glorify Your Name" and KF singing "Come To The Water". Many songs start slow, with only a lead singer, and grow in intensity, with most or all of the worship leaders joining in by the climax.

Unfortunately, like the 2012 Passion album, several songs are included that are weaker. This dilutes the overall quality of what is an excellent album. Having viewed most of the songs sung at the Passion 2013 Conference on YouTube, there were at least three other excellent songs that could have been used in the album, replacing the four weaker songs. "It's A New Day (Let It Shine)", sung by everyone, should have definitely been included.
