This is a classic work of contemporary meditation that explores the mysterious cycle "of wounding and healing, of dying and rising" present in the spiritual life.

This review is from: Passion for Pilgrimage: Notes for the Journey Home (Paperback)
As a spiritual director in a large Roman Catholic parish, this is a book I regularly hand out to my parishioners and to those beginging spiritual direction. It is a great resource for folks who are "not there yet" in terms of spirituality. It leads the reader to a solid understanding of the need for decision in the spiritual journey and points clearly to the person of Jesus and His redemptive Holy Week journey as the focus and the standard for the travel. Jones is directive without being tryannical, Christian, without scaring off the beginner. I would not hesitate to give this book to those starting or in the midst of spiritual growth, those convinced or those questioning. AND its enjoyable!
