Rock, Rock, ROCK!!!,

This review is from: Passion for Power (Audio CD)
Remember real rock & roll music? Remember when you could actually turn on the radio and hear straight up rock songs? Believe it or not, real rock & roll bands are still out there, just below the Coldplay-infested surface of mainstream radio and what's left of MTV. Look just below the surface and you'll see a wave of bands emerging from across the globe to carry the torch of kick in the teeth hard rock music for a new generation. One of those bands is Sweden's Hell N' Diesel, a band isn't ashamed to take a few lessons from bands like Guns n' Roses, L.A. Guns, and Motley Crue.
Passion for Power is the band's debut album. It's a hook-heavy slab of alcohol fueled Sunset Strip hard rock. Hell N' Diesel is no nostalgia act either. Their energy and aggression is on par with any trendy punk or emo band, and that absolutely comes across in their sound. The lyrics stick pretty close to the basics (sex, drugs, and rock & roll), but that's part of the band's appeal. These guys know what real, fun, rock music is supposed to sound like, and they deliver it with style. Along with bands like Black Tide, Airbourne, Endeverafter, Fatal Smile, Dirty Penny, and Rockets to Ruin, Hell N' Diesel is bringing back real rock & roll. If you miss this kind of music, then you have to check out the fierce and catchy Passion for Power. Just don't complain to me if you blow out your speakers cranking this one up to eleven!

Freakin Awesome!!!,
This review is from: Passion for Power (Audio CD)
When I first heard the track 'Miss Cocaine', I was on my way back to Austin from Dallas, TX. I was listening to XM Satelite radio from my rental car on the 'Boneyard' station and caught their 'New Band' program. Hell n' Diesel came on and I loved their single that was played. I grew up listening to 70's and 80's hair band/heavy metal music and through the years felt that a lot of them lost their roots at the end of the 90's. Hell n' Diesel keeps is real. They know what old rock n' roll music is all about. Their influences keep them rockin old style and I enjoy listening to them over and over. I'm looking forward to their next CD. As a musician, with a degree in Music, I am picky about new bands that come out. Hell n' Diesel is one of those bands that caught my ear and motivated me to listen more of that long lost style.

A couple of weeks ago, I was browsing through Amazon.com and I happened to stumble upon this rock n' roll gem!!!! All I can say is that true rock n' roll is here, and it's here to stay for GOOD!!!!!!
Since the days of Shotgun Messiah there hasn't been a more promising and stunning return of European heavy metal to the world music scene. True to the likes of Mötley Crüe and Guns N' Roses, Hell N'Diesel have crafted a rock classic with a modern twist!!!!! Congratulations on a job well done, and I hope to get future releases from one of the greatest exponents of the New Wave of Swedish Sleaze Metal!!!!!!!! LONG LIVE ROCK N' ROLL!!!!!!
