If you can only have one book on prayer...this is it!,
By A Customer
This review is from: A Passion for Prayer: Experiencing Deeper Intimacy With God (Hardcover)
Elliff draws from his experiences as pastor, missionary and Christian statesman to show the incredible power of a praying life. In addition to dealing with current "hot" topics (i.e. prayer and fasting) Elliff's book is a "primer" on prayer. Of special interest to the reader will be the sections on prayer as it relates to such issues as "forgiving," "hard times," "reaching the unreached," "hurtful words," and "spiritual warfare." The book also gives a thorough treatment to the causes for delayed answers to prayer. Definitely a must read book for anyone interested in this critical area of the believer's life.

This review is from: A Passion for Prayer: Experiencing Deeper Intimacy with God (Paperback)
You can read the book cover to cover or look up a specific topic. This book will challenge you to move from where you are with your prayer life to a deeper more intimate experience with God. The thought questions at the end of each chapter are excellent. To get the most from this book each chapter should be studied. Take time to pray and talk to God about the questions asked at the end of each chapter. Great Book!

A Passion For Prayer,

This review is from: A Passion for Prayer: Experiencing Deeper Intimacy With God (Hardcover)
Tom Elliff writes from personal experience of praying during the hard times, praying a matter through, praying for the grace to forgive, and recovering our intimacy with God. It is one of those book that you want to read and reread for encouragement and strength. It is clear and easy to understand. Each chapter is blessed and inspired. I highly recommend it.I also recommend, "Spiritual Warfare, The Battle for God's Glory", by Jerry Rankin. It is a great study on the reality of Spiritual Warfare. It explores the nature of the enemy, the battle between the flesh and the Spirit, and how to recognize some of Satan's favorite fiery darts and most effective weapons. Then it discusses the foundations we have for living in the victory we have in Christ Jesus, and how we gain the ultimate victory for God's Glory. I highly recommend this for personal spiritual growth as well as for group study.
