I don't think I could forgive the liar so quickly,
By
This review is from: The Passionate Husband (Harlequin Romance - Large Print) (Hardcover)
The Passionate Husband was overall an okay book. I liked Marsha and Taylor for the most part. I thought it a bit excessive that she wouldn't even listen to him though. Of course she was very insecure but he never gave her any reason to be insecure with him. Sure he was handsome and all but he still picked her to marry. But without the insecurity she wouldn't have ever believed it when someone else had set her up to believe her husband was cheating on her and had been for quite awhile. What I can't believe is that she said vows to this man, she claimed to love him, and she wouldn't talk to him and wouldn't forgive him for 18 months! He had to go in search of her. Then when she discovers that the other person had lied and had done so because they felt like they were being left alone and would have no one, Marsha was pretty quick to forgive this person. That was a bit of a stretch. Sure this person was in a horrible place at the time they did that and even when they confessed but that doesn't excuse the silence for the next 18 months! I just don't think I could forgive that quickly. After all by Marsha's own admission her marriage was happy and all up to that point. This person was, spoiled, jealous, vindictive, and obviously didn't care about Marsha's feelings let alone Taylor's. Seemed a bit over the top for both of them to forgive especially when you know who was the liar!!Leave the liar out and it was an okay book.
