This is such a perfect little book to give as a gift. I have tried two of the uses mentioned in the book--frothing oil and water for my dry skin and freezing oil in my ice cube tray for use instead of butter. Both were great! I highly recommend this book--it's filled with interesting historical facts and fun new uses to try.

This book is such a treat and a great gift for any foodie! It is visually beautiful with olive colored text and lovely illustrations. The tips are surprising on how to use olive oil and the long history of olive oil compelling.

I saw the writer speak in the bay area and she was delightful.

She made a great suggestion to bring a copy of The Passionate Olive book(of course) and a bottle of olive oil to your next dinner party.

I have begun using some of the Olive Oil uses suggested in this book already and they work! Try it yourself.

Very educational, fun, interesting . . . However, I find that I'm not reading this book as I would a novel . . . I'm reading it more as a reference book! I have jumped all over the chapters to see how olives can make a difference in my life in whatever areas interest me at the time. I never would have dreamed that olive oil could be such a part of one's life -- other than enjoying the flavor of it in foods! Wow! Was I ever wrong.

I thouroughly enjoyed this book. It is well written and has many practical ideas for care of self and home. It also has some wonderful recipes.

The Passionate Olive was an amazing book for all types of families. Olive oil is one of those wonderful staples in life that I did not realize was so versatile in everyday living from pure antibodies to furniture polish!!!This book explains every possible use for olive oil and being italian, I gave every one in my family a book for christmas.

I bought this book for myself and a friend. It has so many easy everyday uses for olive oil. I made my friend a birthday basket with this book, olive oil and olive oil soap. She loved it.

There is so many uses for oilve oil in this book.This book will also save you money.It has replaced many products in my home.

Beginning with a brief history of olive oil and ending with great recipes this book has useful and fun ideas throughout. Easy, delightful reading.

There are interesting points in this book, like a "Olive Oil Milestones", a lot of interesting and different uses of olive oil and a nice list of websites, that included producers, organizations and museums. It is a very enjoyable read.
