We all know that Andrea Bocelli's first love is Performing Opera, but he also loves to do pop music and when it comes down to it he is more well know for his pop albums such as Romanza, Sogno, Amore, etc., then he is for many of his Opera albums. This new recording Passione is a pop recording of Italian, Neapolitan (an Italian Dialect), Spanish, Portuguese and English songs and is his third Album With David Fostor doing the producing. The other Two are Amore (Amor) and a Christmas Album called My Christmas. Passione is really a part two of the Album Amore. And as most know David Fostor wrote the Song, the Prayer that has been done by many but made famous by Andrea and Celine Dion. It was one of Bocelli's early mega hits along with Con Te Partiro and Il Mare Calmo Della Sera.

As with any Bocilli Album and David Foster they are very well done, the production is great, the musicians are wonderful, and of course Bocelli's voice is simply beautiful. Bocelli's voice reaches into the heart and soul of many of us, thats why we are fans. This is a very smooth romantic and wonderful album you can listen all the way through.

The Tracks are (and I would suggest you get the deluxe edition and get the four extra songs)

1. Perfidia -a really nice start hear very smooth and Beautiful.
2. Roma Nun Fa La Stupida Stasera - I have not heard this one before or if I have I had forgotten its really good.
3. Champagne- Very nice, All the songs sound very romantic, its the voice.
4. Anema E Core- I just love this song.
5. Quizas, Quizas, Quizas (perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps) With Jennifer Lopez an Interesting mix of voices. Natalie Cole has been doing this song with Bocelli at some live venues as well. And Andrea is working on a duet with her for her next album witch will be a latin album. This is a very cool version very playful and romantic.
6. Era gia tutto previsto- A beautiful song.
7. Tristeza - Excellent.
8. La Vie en Rose with the Late Edith Piaf. If these is a week song on the CD its this one I like it but the old recordings just don't match the new recordings all that well. And I know this has been done before by others. But having said that its a wonderful tribute to the great Edith Piaf.
9. Corcovado with Nelly Furtado is another interesting pairing for Bocelli, I like Furtado she has a lite but very sexy voice and Bocelli matches good with her and does not over sing. He is a rear opera singer that can sing pop, as it should be sang, and not make everything sound like Opera. I really love this duet.
10. Sara' Settembre -This is the Italian version of the song made famous by Neil Diamond's "September Morn" Bocelli wrote the Italian lyrics with permission from the songs writers by Neil Diamond and Gilbert Becaud Stay. Bocelli goes a great job on this one.
11. Love In Portofino- (this is also the title of Bocelli's upcoming Live DVD), This is my favorite song on the CD, Just Beautiful.
12. Garota De Ipanema - Always have loved this song since I was a child from Sinatra to Bocelli and many other versions, I know Andrea has wanted to record this for a long time and wants to record many Portuguese language songs).
13. Malafemmena -This one Is a great song that has been sang by many done such as Sergio Franchi, Bocelli does an excellent job.
14. Love Me Tender (BO does Elvis well)
15. Il Nostro Incontro- Very pretty and also features Chris Botti.
16. Senza Fine- really nice.
17. A Mano A Mano -A Beautiful song.
18. When I Fall In Love *With Chris Botti) - A Really nice version of this song in english and I know many Bocelli fans would love for him to do an album in all english. Quizas!

Passione is a wonderful selection of songs is beautifully done and is a must have for lovers of Beautiful Music and all Bocelli fans.

As a music lover, it is very difficult for me to find any CD with 1, maybe 2 songs worth listening to.

This CD has some wonderful, wonderful songs: Champagne -incredible background vocals by Bocelli himself at the end of the song-, A mano a mano, Era gia tutto previsto, Anema e Cuore. These 4 songs, all by themselves, are more than worth the price of the CD. Not by mere coincidence, these are all songs in Italian (Anema e Cuore in Napolitan), in which Bocelli seems to find -naturally- more expressiveness and soul. For all lovers of Edith Piaf, you will be touched by Bocelli and Piaf in La Vie en Rose.

There is also some fine music here, like the Brazilian songs (especially Corcovado), very pleasant and nicely arranged by Foster, and other Italian songs, like Roma nun fa la stupida stasera.

The weakest number is maybe the most commercial one, Quizas, Quizas, with J.Lopez.

This is a CD with 18 songs that you will play over and over again, and you will find sheer pleasure, relaxation, and yes, also "passione". Much more than I can say of the hundreds of CDs I have listened to in the last 12 months.

'PASSIONE': I was a bit doubtful when I ordered this CD as it is not the kind of music I have ever really appreciated. But I decided to give it a try, and was pleasantly surprised - I love it! I have played it several times now, and it has proved to be the rare kind of album that gets better and better every time. Bocelli enthralls me with his interpretation of these love songs, many of which are new to me and which include some inspired duets with Jennifer Lopez, Nelly Furtado and the late Edith Piaf.

There are few singers who can tackle Elvis Presley's music convincingly, but Bocelli can! His rendition of 'Love me Tender' is stunning, every bit as good as Elvis's own version, and sung with such simple sincerity and honesty - just beautiful.

In 'Passione' Bocelli shows how versatile he has become as a performer and how much he has developed since his early 'Romanza' days. With his remarkable voice, which has got deeper, richer and more expressive over the years, he has produced one of his most interesting albums to date.

I was very surprised by this album. Not what I would expect from Bocelli, but it is a beautiful album. He sings in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and English. Some of the tracks are covers of famous songs, others seem to be originals.

While those that expect the "opera" Bocelli might be disappointed, the lyrics are beautiful... if you understand them (I suppose that's where some of the negative reviews come from).

Have several Andrea Bocelli's CD's. This is truly the best for us.....combining pop with classics makes it magical. Saw him on QVC, & ordered it on Amazon as I am a Prime member. He never disappoints....What an inspiration he is.

I love this CD. It is so relaxing and upbeat. It is a little different from what you might expect, but it is a wonderful change and Andrea' voice is so smooth. If you are a fan, it is a must get.

Outstanding Italian,Spanish French,English renditions of great personal favorites. Andrea Bocelli has a deep rich midrange tenor voice that brings out the music comfortably, not pushed, but well executed. Good for me and the wife.

BUT WAY TOOOOO DEEEEEP!!! Thank you Amazon for been so great with your service and it arrived 3 days before I was told so. Thumbs and Big toes UP!!!

Bocelli was probably "pushed" to do this album for commercial reasons. But he did a great job. It's so romantic, so nostalgic, especially "love at Portofino".It takes me back to the time when I was young and in love.
