About the Author

Cynthia L. Selfe is professor of composition and communication and chair of the humanities department at Michigan Technological University. She is also the founder and co- editor of the journal Computers and Composition.

Gail E. Hawisher is professor of English and director of the Center for Writing Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is the author of several books on computers and writing and is co-editor of the journal Computers and Composition.
