About the Author

Previously known primarily as a short story author, R.A. Leigh has now exploded into the world of novels, creating 4 distinct societies on the Planet Paradise, and a new SF series, destined to become a cult classic. It's as off center and complex as R.A. is, filled with interplanetary corporate intrigue, new age theory and exo-anthropology.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable Sci-Fi adventure..recommended!, October 22, 1999

This review is from: 3 Passports to Paradise (Spectrutek Series) (Paperback)
Just finished 3 Passports to Paradise, by R.A. Leigh and enjoyed it very much. Stumbled on it by accident since it's from a new publisher, Spectrutek.com and at least for the moment, does not seem to be in too many bookstores. Anyway, the publisher claims to produce a line of books that are "not overly bleak or overly technical" and 3P2P certainly fills the bill. It's a fun adventurous read, with good characterizations (nice these days!) and plot. I wouldn't call it hard-sf but it would be misleading to say it was space opera. It's an adventure as well as a double murder mystery (and a cute surprise at the end). I would definitely recommend this book to Sci-Fi and Fantasy fans who are tired of negative SF. I'm going to look forward to other works by this new Sc-Fi publisher, Spectrutek.com.
