2.0 out of 5 stars A few song are nice other than that...
After growing up listening to hip-hop and r&b, and really being a fan of R&B. If you would have played some of the tracks on a hip hop station, i would not have known they where Christian or not. To me overall the CD is borderline "worldy". I have had the CD for about a 2 years, and "Stay Staved" and there are a few others that are okay, but some of the song make you want...

...and Canton Jones is ushering it in! In a music world of blase lyrics, unoriginal beats, and lack of true MINISTRY, Minister Canton Jones CD "The Password" is like a eating a popsicle on a blistery hot day in the ATL..refreshing! From "On The Floor" to "The Love Song," this CD will have you praising God in a way you didn't know it was cool enough to DO! One of my favorites (though you can play the CD from track one to the end without ANY disappointment) is "Hook You Up," a simple song with a funkkky acoustic guitar in which Canton is telling a female friend, "Let me hook you up with my man, mami!," referring to introducing her to Jesus Christ! He tells her, "You can easily make a change for the Lord and/Turn around like the Bulls when they drafted Jordan" MAN! The harmony and background vocals on all the tracks are witty, crisp, and tight..Just when you think the CD has slowed down, Canton takes you to Krunkville, USA with the title track "The Password" and "Warrior," which will make sure to have you bouncing in your cars with your windows down, "gettin krunk" for Jesus!

Parents, if you are tired of the mess your kids are watching on TV and that their friends keep influencing them with, buy this CD. Brother, Sister, if you are ready for something TIGHT to replace the kind of music you used to listen to, BUY THIS CD..TRUST me. Canton Jones is a true minister of the gospel through song..he has a sound unparalleled in the gospel music industry, and you WILL be pleased.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Password: Access Granted (Audio CD)
Im not a kid, I just don't have an account with Amazon. But I thought I would let it be known that this album is tight. Im 16, and went to the youth convention that was in Georgia called IIYC. It was very moving for me, and this is where I found my relationship with God, and decided it was time for me to make a change. I was really inspired by all the speakers, and song artists, such as, Canton Jones, Da Fam, and Chozin. Well, ever since then, I dont really listen to secular music anymore. Because IIYC has given me an alternative for secular music and an opportunity to get crunk, and praise God at the same time. The album that I listen to the most is Canton Jones. His songs help you with whatever you are going through. Like, fighting temtations, or just keeping your mouth closed when you really want to say something. You can just pop this CD right in and play it straight through, because every song will keep you moving, and singing right along. While giving a powerful touch to the soul to stay on track with God. If you dont have the CD yet, you are incomplete without it. You need to get out and cop this CD ASAP! you wont regret it.

WOW !! this CD is off the hook and speaks to the youth and some of us ole' folk too. Canton Jones is a blessed and anoited young man of GOD for the people and times of TODAY!! This CD spans across all genre and styles of music and definitely a 'one size fits all'. I highly recommend it to all age groups but in particular to the young people who are being pulled in all directions. ROCK ON FOR CHRIST, CANTON!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Which is it?, August 8, 2007

I really do respect this album, I respect the purpose or atleast what I think is the purpose. Very good songs, Canton Jones touches upon things that very Gospel artists touch upon. But I worry about the motivation for doing his music and how much of "the world" inspires his writing. His first words of the album, I believe are "We about to throw 30 grand on the crowd" and clearly the first song "Doin' it Big" is all about him, I wonder if his purpose is to make Christ seem appealing to the world or make the world seem appealing to Christ. To each his own though. May God bless him and all of us as we strive for Heaven

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, November 28, 2010
This review is from: Password: Access Granted (Audio CD)
This is a great album that constantly reminds christians that you can be big and boastful in God yet in a humble and meek way. It also encourages non-believers to get with Christ, repent, and become a christian. God bless you Canton Jones and continue to do the will of God.

P.S. You have got to purchase this cd. it will be a big inspiration on your life. Peace.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a very good CD, November 29, 2009
This review is from: Password: Access Granted (Audio CD)
First let me start off by addressing dennis hill because the rapper in the song Warrior did not cuss. What he said was 'funKing around like do* do* for brains' in other words he's leaving a stench like bowel movements. So just to clarify again this rapper did not cuss.

The best songs on this cd are 5 ain't nobody name is higher than YOURS LORD and also 22 because it's song live and my little cousin abre picked this song to praise THE LORD and she calls THE LORD several times screaming JESUS!!! I have proof lol she is only 20 months old. If anyone thinks these songs are for club dancing it's because they have the club in them and not JESUS. It's what your use to and what your soul is displaying... That you are a clubbed
and you would rather shake your behind like pagans rather than praise THE LORD.

I also like imma stay saved number 6 because this is how life is where people deliberately start trouble with you and there is a better way to deal with it.

Number 9 wishaway is talking about how people treat you bad and you get tired of them and thy deliberately set out to hurt you but THE LORD IS WITH you. And how you need THE LORD TO HELP you out of the mess you get in.

JESUS YOU LOVED me when nobody cared interlude is for the person who feels all alone and shows HE LOVES you more than then you could ever imagine.

There is also going solo where canton talks about going solo and leaving the pagan life of the industry. Drugs guns sexual immorality and how he thought how going into the music biz would make him so happy only to find it can run your entire life.

There is also your not cute enough for my salvation where the woman invites him in for sex but he says no and she thi ks he must be gay to not want to sleep with her but he says he's not gay and he is not married to her and if the had sex then THE LORD WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED in him.

I believe every person should listen to this CD for themselves and make their own decision.
