I am a fan of the works of Dr. Bruce Goldberg. I own a number of his books. It was with excitement, then, that I noticed a new book available at my local book store. I picked it up and read the back cover. I read the words "... a sequel to ..." and I decided to buy the book.

As I started to read the book, however, I noticed that many of the case histories seemed familiar. I compared both books, "Past Lives - Future Lives" from 1982 and the current book, "Past Lives, Future Lives Revealed" and, indeed, the vast majority of the case histories are identical, and the case histories make up a significant portion of the book. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. Surely, during the twenty odd years that have elapsed since the first book, there would have been enough new material to include in the book? This fact has compelled me to remove two stars from what would have been a five-star rating.

If you already own the first book, then there is hardly enough new material worth spending the full price.

However, if you do *not* already own the first book, then, indeed, this book is highly recommended.

My main beef with this new book is the apparent deception used to market this new book. The word "sequel" was highly inaccurate. A better word would have been "revision". (I wonder whether it was the publishers that decided to use the misleading word.)
As well, the lack of new case histories is inexplicable since Dr. Bruce Goldberg has enjoyed such a long and distinguished career.

I remain a fan of Dr. Goldberg's work and recommend his work to anyone interested in New Age thought. I will eagerly await anything new that may appear on the market, but from now on, I will peruse the book to make sure that I am not being mislead into buying material that I already own.

I almost bought this book a couple of times, but ended up taking it out of my cart at the last minute. Now I know why. The universe was trying to save me some money! (I ended up borrowing it from the library instead.)

I have a feeling I've read this book before but, if so, it was years ago and I don't remember the specifics (it must've been an earlier edition). I'd seen recommendations for the book on one of the message boards I frequent, so I thought it would be good. However, almost from the first page, I felt that something was "off"... and as I continued to read, that feeling only grew. I like reading regression cases, but in this book, Goldberg jumps to conclusions too quickly in the way he interprets things.

It's as if the author is one of the blind men in the story about the elephant, and he's only able to describe the animal by feeling its tail. The bare bones about reincarnation are there, but there is way too much other stuff that many would view as nonsense, and that damages the credibility of researchers who are looking into the phenomenon of reincarnation. In Goldberg's world, it seems that anyone with inexplicable behavior, past or present, must be possessed -- either by a poltergeist, a past-life persona, a demon, or an extraterrestrial time traveler. I laughed out loud when I read the following passage concerning reptilian aliens: "These time travelers are most definitely to be avoided, as they eat humans." It is statements like this that make me suspicious of the whole book... that, and the fact that we can supposedly be protected from such malicious influences if we buy Goldberg's tapes.

In addition, there were some inaccuracies (for example, stating that ulcers are not caused by bacteria), as well as many grammatical errors. Since this is a new edition (or at least a book built on the foundation of an old one), I would expect that things would be updated, edited, and double-checked. This doesn't appear to be the case.

In contrast to many of the other books I've read on the subject, Goldberg's universe seems to be a contradictory, unenlightened place of hierarchy and punishment. It merely skims the surface of what some other researchers have discovered about karma and rebirth. Readers interested in time travel or alien invaders will probably like this book. But if you are more interested in reincarnation, plain and simple, you will probably be disappointed. I may have enjoyed it when I was first starting out on my journey of discovery, but it's not enough anymore and I've found many better books since. Instead of this book, I would recommend: Jane Roberts' Seth books (especially "Seth Speaks"); Dr. Brian L. Weiss's books (they're easy to read and full of amazing stories); Dr. Michael Newton's books (they deal more with life between lives, but are still very relevant to past lives); or Roger Woolger's "Healing Your Past Lives."

The book is a quick read. It reads like a mystery novel and I could not put it down. If you are curious about hypnotherapy regressions and progressions, this is the book to read. It is very informative and straightforward. I found that this book is a complimentary book to Drunvalo Melchizedek's The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life Vol. 1 & 2. I understand the origin of many stories in Drunvalo's books due to Dr. Goldberg's book. I feel many of my questions have been answered through Dr. Goldberg's book.

Some case studies described in this boook contain many unexpected and quite strong and profound stories as well as powerful images for the reader, quite unexpected to say the least, much more depth and variety than I have read before.
The Hypnosis exercises at the back of the book are very informative and useful in continuing the exploration of Past Lives, Future Lives & Beyond

Could not put it down. Very interesting in respects to real life accounts from patients. Ordered several of Dr. Goldberg's CD's after the completion of this book. Great step by step meditation exercises included.

Mot people think I am far out, but this book is even too far out for me. I had my first regression in 1989 and have been regressing other people since 1997. I haven't seen it all, but I've seen a lot... and nothing like this. I'm open minded and curious, but I couldn't finish this book. I thought it jumped to a lot of conclusions with the thinnest of facts to back it up and was just too fantastic for my mind to comprehend. If you are curious about past life regression or progression, just do it. The truth will connect with you on an emotional level.
