Book Description

December 1, 1998
Twenty years ago, Alvin Toffler coined the term "future shock" - a syndrome in which people are overwhelmed by the future. Past Shock suggests that events that happened thousands of years ago very strongly impact humanity today. Our advanced science of today has unraveled their secrets, and people like Barranger have the knowledge and courage to expose exactly how we were manipulated.

5.0 out of 5 stars HUMANITY'S PAST NEED NOT BE IT'S FUTURE !, November 22, 1999
This review is from: Past Shock: The Origin of Religion and Its Impact on the Human Soul (Paperback)
Jack Barranger takes a bold stand in revealing that humanity's past is VERY different than we've been taught. It seems that we were not made by a loving creator, but rather designed as a slave race by a disfunctional family of human-like space travelers who told us they were our Gods. In a quick read, Barranger reveals just how these so-called Lords chained us to religion, dogma, and creed. Yet, today their is hope as we awaken to the Truth behind the lie.

After reading Past Shock, I purchased ten copies to give to family and friends.

3.0 out of 5 stars This could have been better, even for a slim volume, April 10, 2000

Mr. Barranger had good intentions and certainly very interesting subject matter, but really did very little with it. This slim volume was far too repetitious for its size. What he does reveal for the reader will be astounding for the uninitiated, but more than likely will just be confusing unless one has read Sitchin's "Twelfth Planet" or Bramley's "Gods of Eden" beforehand. While Barranger explores the more religious aspects of the "pretender" or "extraterrestrial gods" theory he had so much to work with that was under-utilized. I would still recommend this but with reservations. And OH those many typos!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not that shocking, January 2, 2002

If you're familiar with this type of material you might need a more detailed book like Sitchin, Daniken ect. This is a lightweight of a book.
