5.0 out of 5 stars HUMANITY'S PAST NEED NOT BE IT'S FUTURE !
Jack Barranger takes a bold stand in revealing that humanity's past is VERY different than we've been taught. It seems that we were not made by a loving creator, but rather designed as a slave race by a disfunctional family of human-like space travelers who told us they were our Gods. In a quick read, Barranger reveals just how these so-called Lords chained us to...

3.0 out of 5 stars This could have been better, even for a slim volume
Mr. Barranger had good intentions and certainly very interesting subject matter, but really did very little with it. This slim volume was far too repetitious for its size. What he does reveal for the reader will be astounding for the uninitiated, but more than likely will just be confusing unless one has read Sitchin's "Twelfth Planet" or Bramley's "Gods...

This review is from: Past Shock: The Origin of Religion and Its Impact on the Human Soul (Paperback)
Jack Barranger takes a bold stand in revealing that humanity's past is VERY different than we've been taught. It seems that we were not made by a loving creator, but rather designed as a slave race by a disfunctional family of human-like space travelers who told us they were our Gods. In a quick read, Barranger reveals just how these so-called Lords chained us to religion, dogma, and creed. Yet, today their is hope as we awaken to the Truth behind the lie.

After reading Past Shock, I purchased ten copies to give to family and friends.

Mr. Barranger had good intentions and certainly very interesting subject matter, but really did very little with it. This slim volume was far too repetitious for its size. What he does reveal for the reader will be astounding for the uninitiated, but more than likely will just be confusing unless one has read Sitchin's "Twelfth Planet" or Bramley's "Gods of Eden" beforehand. While Barranger explores the more religious aspects of the "pretender" or "extraterrestrial gods" theory he had so much to work with that was under-utilized. I would still recommend this but with reservations. And OH those many typos!

If you're familiar with this type of material you might need a more detailed book like Sitchin, Daniken ect. This is a lightweight of a book.

I have read a couple of books about religion and I have to say that this is one of the best ones yet. althought it is a little repititious, its the point thats important. The idea that God and the Gods of old is one that very few like to consider. I think you would enjoy this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars No new information, November 1, 2001
This review is from: Past Shock: The Origin of Religion and Its Impact on the Human Soul (Paperback)
The only value in this book might be for those who are unfamiliar with the subject is that he makes reference to some useful books on the subject. There is absolutely nothing new presented in terms of what is now known regarding the gods of old. The author repeats himself so often it is difficult to finish the book. He talks of the Real God but never manages to identify or explain what he means. Don't wast money on this book.
