A great cookbook and leisure reading book!,

I have found Chronicle Books to be one of the best Cookbookpublishing companies around! Their books are very aesthetically pleasing, as well as very well written. Pasta Classica begins with an introduction to the history of pasta, and eventually focuses on pasta in Italy. The recipes are very simple, yet very good, and closer to authentic than almost all of cookbooks on Italian cooking by non-Italian authors. An added bonus is that the Italian is all grammatically correct, and properly spelled! This is a superb book to have around as a reference point for coming up with your own pasta dishes, or for following directly from the book. Either way, you can't lose! It is also great leisure reading (the reason why I bought it!) and very interesting and informative.
