Shockingly good, December 3, 2008
This review is from: Paste Magazine Music Sampler #17 (Audio CD)
Barring the last (rather crappy) track on this album, every song is remarkably good. If someone proves that alternate universes exist and demonstrate effective and reasonably cheap ways to travel betwixt and between, I'll definitely buy a dozen copies to hand out to myselves.
Well worth five bucks, as I would, in retrospect, have paid $20. I did, in a sense - This CD was good enough that repeated play prompted a $20 subscription to the magazine in question. When you add the price I paid for the Hiatt's Master of Disaster album and at least one other after hearing their best tracks here, and the cover price for the initial magazine purchase, I'd say this CD has cost me no less than $40 total.
