I was anxious to receive my copy of Pastels From Scratch and after having read it can say it's a very good primer for beginning pastel painters. I recommend it highly to anyone interested in learning to master pastels.Other good books I consider invaluable are: Pastel Pointers by Richard McKinley, Painting Sunlight and Shadow with Pastels by Maggie Price and Capturing the Light in Pastel by Lionel Aggett. |
