I like the author but in this book, it just isnt enough information to apply to a crisis situation. There is a lot of useful facts but when it comes down to actually talking to the person in crisis, it fails to give you an idea of what to say or it is too vague, however, it does mention what not to say, which is also very important.

It is a great book for those interested in introductory knowledge and can even be used as a reference.

For those serious students of counseling, I don't think it goes in depth enough. It is well written however, and still a useful read.

I plan to keep this book on my desk for further referencing. I will apply the information to the journey as a manual well needed.

This book is well-written and very helpful. I bought used and there were some markings in it, but I expected that.
