I bought this for my granddaughter's fourth birthday. At the manufacturer's web site I was able to buy a set of two for only $5 more. This was perfect as the 4 yr. old has a 2 yr. old sister (although most toys have a 3 yr. old and up warning). When she opened it at the birthday party she beamed as she LOVES CUPCAKES. She realized there were two and, I am proud to say, she said, "Look sissy, there's one for you, too." Their 6 yr. old cousin came to me & asked if I would buy this for his birthday, too. Of course, I said yes, but I'm sure he'll change his mind 10 times. The kids at the party thought it was "cool".Each granddaughter keeps their cupcake stand on their nightstand instead of the toy shelves. The 2 yr. old woke up at 4 a.m. and carried her cupcake stand, cupcakes & all, into her parents bedroom to wake them up & ask them if they would like a cupcake!!!

I bought this gift for my 3 year old niece who requested it for Christmas. We all had a lot of fun "eating" cupcakes. She had fun with the pastry bag and putting "frosting" and "sprinkles" on all the cupcakes.

My daughter received this as a Christmas present this year just before turning three. She loves it! At first I thought that it might be difficult because when you take the cupcakes apart you have to turn the pieces a certain way for them to fit properly. I thought that she might be too young but she's not! She takes them apart and puts them together and plays with them very often. I did what another reviewer had stated. I went to the Step2 website and purchased a set of two for $37.00 making the price on each around $19.00. I am going to give the other one to my niece as a b-day gift.

my daughters had this on the christmas list and after seeing the price, i took it off the list. i was shopping last night and found 1 randomly thrown in the aisle with a ripped box (all pieces were still there). the store said they dont even usually carry that item and that it must have been a return from internet purchase. they discounted it to $13.99. i'd say it's worth that much and definitely not worth the nearly $30 retail price it usually has.
