Nice Collection Of Lesser Hits..., March 13, 2005
This review is from: Pat Boone - More Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Apparently designed as a companion volume to MCA's "Greatest Hits" CD, "More Greatest Hits" has some pretty good songs like "Twixt Twelve And Twenty" and "With The Wind And The Rain In Your Hair", and duplicates none of the tracks on "Greatest Hits." Looks like Varese has discontinued this title. Good sound quality, taken from the original Dot masters.

This is the SECOND excelent collection. Perfect to go with the FIRST excelent collection "Pat Boon's great hits" on M.C.A., April 19, 2010
This review is from: Pat Boone - More Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Here is a great collection of Pat Boon's hits.
17 of these 18 songs made the top 100, 13 were top 40 hits.
Boone had his first charted song in 1955,
and continued through 1969 for a total of 60 charted songs.
Most of this compilation is from 1958 to 1962.
The one song here that didn't chart is "There's a moon out tonight"
which is the b-side of "The Exodus song (this land is mine)" which made the chart in 1961.
One of my favorites "Big cold wind" which is sorta hard to find is included on the album.
This C.D. comes with a nice booklet
that contains 6 pages of information about Boone's life and career.
This are original recordings and have excelent sound.
These recordings were released from M.C.A. 1994,
to Varese Sarabande for this 1994 release.
Footnote: This collection appears intended to accompany
"Pat Boon's greatest hits" on M.C.A. released in 1993.
M.C.A. is yellow background, Boone is in a red sweater,
and the cover says at the bottom "The original DOT records hit recordings".
ALL 18 songs on that "Greatest hits" set made the top 20, 14 of which made the top 10.
There are no repeats within the 2 c.d.'s.
Between the two collection you get 37 of Pat Boone's all time best hits.

A Truly Great(est) Collection, August 3, 2000
This review is from: Pat Boone - More Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
For me, every Pat Boone recording is great. It was in the fifties that he became an icon for great soothing music. However, many of the songs not assembled thus far could also consitute several "Still More Greatest Hits" CDs. It would be selfish of me if I do not recommend this CD to all the easy music listeners as well as the teenagers of yesteryears who considered Pat Boone (almost) at par with Elvis Presley. I certainly did! And I insist that this belongs in every Pat Boone collection. I only wish there were more CDs like this. And which do not contain Love Letters in Sand!!
