FAMOUS PAT O'BRIEN HURRICANE COCKTAIL MIX 1. Half fill a clean quart container with cold water. 2. Add mix to water, turn container upside down and shake thoroughly. 3. Add water to fill container and shake again. 4. Refrigerate after mixing. Making the Drink 1. Use a 28 oz. Hurricane Glass. Fill with crushed ice. 2. Add 4 oz. of good dark rum. 3. Add 4 oz. of liquid Hurricane Mix. 4. Garnish with orange slice or cherry. 5. Serve with straw - HAVE FUN!

When I went to Mardi gras 2008 I discovered this amazing drink concoction at Pat O'Brien's on Bourbon St. We drank these every day we were there (5 days) & couldn't get enough of them. If you like fruity drinks you will love these. When I was talking to the bartender I asked him what liquor I should put in this mix. He suggested either Bacardi 151 or Myers dark rum or a little mix of both. I highly suggest this mix it truly is the best & brings me back to bourbon st every time I drink one!

We have been drinking this mix for almost 10 years now. Its a powder so you can buy quite a bit and not worry about it going bad. This is the most authentic hurricane mix you can buy. Its the original and its pretty cheap. I always have to order it because its impossible to find it here in Philly and everytime someone from around here tries it they love it and want to know where they can get it. Also if you have never tried Pat O'Briens Cyclone mix, GRAB SOME! Its just as amazing!
