4.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting
This is a very interesting CD. It's meditative and lively at the same time. I was surprised to hear a piano solo in the middle of it. It's a very different sound that you won't find in music from other countries. If you enjoy world music, I would suggest adding this CD to your collection.

I agree that listening to the entire CD in one sitting is a bit much, but I...

I agree that listening to the entire CD in one sitting is a bit much, but I enjoy it and it always makes me feel good. It's not the typical 4:4 rhythms of the US/European music.

4.0 out of 5 stars A mirror for Myanmar, January 10, 2005
This review is from: Pat Waing: The Magic Drum Circle Of Burma (Audio CD)
This disc reflects the beauty and diversity of the country from which it comes. Myanmar, it's people and it's music are a true world treasure. They have a genuinely honest approach to the evolution of their culture, hence the almost American Jazz interplay of the piano piece. Let's hope their slow transsition into Democracy comes soon to a people who sincerely wish to be welcomed neighbors.
