For a moderately insulated jacket, the DAS parka is surprisingly versatile in that it will keep you warm on the cold days, yet won't overheat you on the temperate days. It offers a sporty look for when you don't feel like looking like every other stiff in a work coat, and like most other Patagonia products, it is made to last. The DAS was clearly designed with the active in mind, and thus allows for wide range of motion while maintaining a minimalist cut. Overall, a great piece of outerwear at the right price.

The Patagonia DAS Insulated Parka is heavily insulated but not a heavyweight to wear. This quality quilted Jacket is great for serious dry cold conditions where people need to stay warm but agile, such as winter camping or climbing. DAS parka is also entirely suitable for waiting for a bus on a cold winter day in Anchorage, Alaska. The jacket includes a generous hood that fits over helmets or other headgear, a two-way zipper, and two handwarmer pockets. The jacket can be compressed inside a stuff sack. With minimal care, it may last for years.
