Book Description

August 1, 2006
This inspiring, nearly mystical, photographic journey through the one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world traverses the whipped plateau and the extreme coasts, the transparent sea and the highest peaks, and the creatures of the profoundly isolated region of Patagonia. An accompanying essay discusses the region and the photography with lyricism and respect and appears in both Spanish and English.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful images and amazing descriptive text, January 29, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Patagonia: El ultimo confin de la naturaleza (Hardcover)
This hard cover book is an amazing item to either purchase and give as a gift to somebody who loves to travel and has never been in Argentina, or as a focal point in a coffee table or side table.
Inside, the images bring the best of the Patagonia: Its desert areas, glaciares, woods; it shows a side of Argentina that not every body has the pleassure of knowing. I was born and raised in Argentina and I've never been there.
If you are interested in still nature photogrphy, this is a great book for you.
Something to look forward to and to be surprised at every turn of the page.

2.0 out of 5 stars Misses the better parts, May 25, 2011
This review is from: Patagonia: El ultimo confin de la naturaleza (Hardcover)
There are some parts of this book that do well, but it doesn't cover the region very well. In fact is it quite superficial. It missed the spectacular mountains of Patagonia, and more importantly, it failed to show the splendid scenery of the Chilean side of Patagonia. So this book must be considered only "fair" but not a total failure. It should be sold as a "remainder" book soon.
