I like the feel of a moccasin. These have a well padded shock absorbing heel but a thin sole, you can just about feel a dime when you step on it. The fit is loose but secure.
The sole is grippy and kind of wrap-around and I found myself wearing them rather than work boot when working on my extremely steep yard. It It remains to be seen how well these thin soles will last.
I'm happy with them.
