This is one of my favorite shoes ever. Too bad that Patagonia messed up and used a sole that's too thin and too soft. It wears down after only a few months on normal use. Mine tore through completely after only six months and I've read a number of similar reviews.

They're claiming it's "resoleable"--I guess that's the only way to get someone to buy a shoe this expensive that doesn't last.

It's a shame because otherwise this is a great shoe--looks awesome and is super comfortable.

Easily meets the standard "looks great with jeans", but also with dresser pants IMO (my wife who has more style sense may debate that). No break-in time needed, comfy out of the box. Seem to run 1/2 size larger than my one other pair of Patagonia shoes - so beware of that. Nice stitching, good sole grip in wet weather, and great for all day wear.
