I used this product to create Tandoori chiken - which I marinated in yoghurt and this paste, and then cooked it on the barbeque for maximum flavour. I have always used Sharwoods Medium Tandoori Paste, however I could not find this product in the USA. I tried Pataks Tandoori paste, and it was nice, but definitely not as good as the Sharwoods Paste or the Sharwoods Tandoori Curry Powder.

Use Pataks if you cant find the Sharwoods equivalent.

I really do like this product. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star is because it contains RED #40. I truely wish that Patak's would jump on the natural/organic band-wagon and drop the red 40, then it would be PERFECT! Until I do find a tandoori paste without added color, I will continue to use this one.

Pataks is the definitive Indian sauce base, when you don't want to make from scratch. The overall rating here would be far better were it not skewed by the idiotic reviews. Complaining that there's artificial coloring or quibbling that the color is too orange??? Get real! Someone says it doesn't have the "classic" flavor. That's utter rubbish! Unless you have your own Tandoori oven, you can only make Tandoori with marinades like this. Just add this to your yogurt base. It's easy, delicious and authentic. Of course it gets 5 stars!

This tastes very good - but has A LOT of un-needed food coloring in it, so I won't be buying it again.

Pataks Tandoori Paste is wonderful on chicken and a quick and easy way to make a delicious and healthy dinner. Also, keep in mind that Pataks has other similar products that are equally yummy.

The title says it all.
And to top it off, the color isn't right either.
It's more of a chili color, rather than red.
