My wife and I love this sauce! every Pataks sauce we have tried has been good. I cannot say if it is *authentic* but it is just as good as our favorite indian restaurant. however I do not understand the pricing. depending on the grocery store i can buy this same 15oz jar for $3.50.
shouldn't things be cheaper online than in a store since you don't have to pay for a retail space?

I'm almost embarrassed to say how often we eat this. We add chicken, peas, and a hint of Sriracha HOT chili sauce---just to kick it up a notch.
Serve over brown rice, and your tummy is content for hours! (We make enough at lunch, so we can have it at dinner, too.)

This sauce was recommended by a friend of mine. It is very tasty and easy to use on those quick dinner nights.

Both my husband and I love Indian food and though I enjoy cooking from scratch, there are times when my busy schedule gets in the way of cooking an entire Indian meal from scratch. A friend recommended the Patak sauces and I have tried a couple of them. This Tikka Masala sauce is quite good, BUT there is some tweaking involved. Like another reviewer mentioned, there is a strong vinegary taste and too much of a tomato taste to the sauce by itself. However, a couple of tweaks by way of adding extra ingredients will improve this taste.

I added a couple of tablespoonfuls of yoghurt to the mix as it is simmering, and either a tablespoonful of ghee (clarified butter) or butter/margarine will also enhance the flavor and minimize the strong vinegary taste. Also, the spice factor is described as medium on the label, but both my husband and I found it to be quite mild (this is subjective and will vary from one taste bud to another). I added some chili powder and that added some extra kick and spiciness to the dish.

This sauce can be used with chicken or shrimp, and also veggies such as green peas, potatoes, mushrooms etc. I serve it with raita (I use yoghurt,cucumber and tomatoes) and naan/chapati/rice. It tastes yummy and makes for a quick fix Indian meal without too much fuss!

This sauce was so unbelivably delicious. I paid $3.18 at Super Walmart, and maybe $5 for the chicken, and made a dish that we ate for a couple of days, cheaper than what we paid in the restaurant, and it tasted exactly the same. Next time I might add peas. But over Jasmine rice, it was DELISH!

A friend from England raved about this stuff and then cooked it for me. Absolutely fabulous!

This sauce is very very good and easy to prepare. Very aromatic and I will definately be purchasing more of it again. Makes Tikka Masala so easy to make!

I'll admit that I've never used this sauce to cook on the stovetop. I've just poured it over chicken in the slow cooker and set it on low. My awesome Indian dinner is done some hours later. Make a box of Jasmine rice, get a jar of the Patak's mango chutney, and it's just like takeout. Love, love, love this sauce!

The Patak Tikka Masala cooking sauce was great! I bought the medium (tangy lemon & cilantro). It had just the right amount of heat to give it a good flavor. It wasn't exactly like the Tikka Masala a neighboring Indian restaurant serves, but it was pretty close (and I didn't have to drive half an hour to go get it). Until my local grocery stores pick this product up, I will probably buy it online again. I'm also tempted to try some of Patak's other Indian sauces I've seen online, too.

I'm hooked on Patak's Tikka Masala Curry! I saute' onions, add chicken chunks, canned diced tomatoes, Tikka Masala sauce, garam masala, cumin, red pepper flakes and that's it! My hubby likes it over egg noodles but I have it on flour tortillas with some sour cream! Delicious!!
