The OTG adapter for my ASUS Transformer (TF300T) Android tablet works great.
Mark R Ward
The USB connector was offset from the opening in the adapter housing by a millimeter or so making it difficult to even plug in a USB cable.

Plugged in to my TF101 and worked right away. Initially I connected a hub with a USB keyboard and mouse to it, but I had intermittent problems with it (mouse clicks weren't always recognized, frequently keystrokes would be missed or repeat infinitely until I pressed another key). I then disconnected the mouse from the hub, and the keyboard worked flawlessly in the few minutes of testing. I will keep playing with it to figure out what the issue is.

As reviews for the original Asus OEM adapter have pointed out, this one too sticks out a fair way from the tablet, plus it forces me to flip the tablet upside down so the port is on top. I've broken other USB adapters that stick out too far (for example, a Wifi adapter sticking out of a netbook), so I plan to be very careful using this adapter to not break it or the tablet's port. As such, I think this will be just for occasional use of a keyboard or thumb drive, but I may get the actual docking keyboard if I'm going to be using a keyboard/mouse more regularly with my tablet.

Adapter is cheaply made. The markings on the adapter indicate that it is USB 2 and not USB 3 as advertised. The USB connector was offset from the opening in the adapter housing by a millimeter or so making it difficult to even plug in a USB cable. Once plugged in to the Transformer (TF101) the adapter was totally dead. The Transformer didn't recognize any device (hard drive, card reader, etc.) plugged in nor would my PC recognize the Transformer when attached to either a USB 2 or USB 3 port on the PC through the adapter. The ASUS manufactured USB 2 port worked fine in all cases.

Purchased this to run my camera from an Asus TF300. It works.
Good:
* USB 3.0 - Connected an external USB 3.0 hard drive to the tablet. Was recognized and mounted. Speed seemed faster than when connected to USB 2.0 ports in keyboard dock.
* Price

Bad:
* Poor design. Bulky. Easily disconnected from tablet. Don't know how this could be corrected (given they are stuck with Asus' connector).
* Does NOT work when plugged into keyboard dock. I was hoping that I could plug into keyboard dock, and have USB 3.0 and OTG for camera - and then detach tablet from keyboard doc when not connected to camera. I assume this is because of the design of the keyboard dock - likely doesn't pass through all of the connections necessary.
* I always connect USB device to this dongle - then place into tablet. This just "feels" better - like its less likely to cause the dongle to break off in the tablet.

This is for the Asus Transformer series tablets and it is exactly what I was seeking. This device allows you to use about any USB device, i.e flash drive, keyboard, mouse, etc. A must have!

This is great! I have talked to a lot of people who bought the Mobile Dock for thier Asus tablet primarily because it adds a USB port to the Transformers' functionality. This little gem does that by simply plugging into the data/charging port on the bottom of your tablet, and its USB 3.0 which is nice (the Mobile Dock is USB 2.0 - Boo!). Only drawback is you need to be careful not to drop it or bend it up/down when its attached to the tablet, it sticks out pretty far so it could easily put a lot of strain on the connectors. I'm not sure which would break first but it would definitely break something. Oh wait, it'd break the tablet because its the more expensive of the two. Highly recommended!

SSD is a kingston hyperx 240GB sata drive, with a sata to USB3 adapter
the only problem i have with this is not really about this product, when inserted into the keyboard dock this product does not even work as USB 2.0 or 1.1 i'm positive this is an issue with the dock and not this adapter.(used with TF700 infinity pad and dock)

Its hard to mess something like this up. It works or it doesn't.
They shoud also try building one with a pig tail to plug into the Tablet
so it can be plugged in while set up in its stand I bought.

The only con is that it cannot bend; but this is the case with all other 40PIN USB Adapters. the adapter comes in a small plastic bag which i use to hold the piece in my pocket throughout the day. there is also one piece of Velcro, which i have no idea why it is there. maybe just a bonus!
