I bought this game to take along while traveling. It is a very easy game to learn, and a lot of fun. I took the game out of the box and put the dice and a few score sheets in an altoid tin. Since the score sheets include the instructions for the game, that was all that was needed. You can play this game anywhere. We played it in our hotel room during our last trip. Since it fits so easily in my pocketbook, I can imagine playing in a restaurant while waiting for our food. I think my 7 year old grandson will enjoy playing it with us. Strategy, luck and even some math skills = a great game for kids.

Farkle is a very fun game to play. The problem with this unit is how cheap the contents in the box are. The dice cup is small and plastic, not the typical leather bound dice cup most of us are used to. The dice are also very low end. My suggestion would be to go out to a bar game store and buy a good dice cup, good dice, and then download the rules for this game off of the internet.

It was only $10.00, but it just wasn't worth it.

This is a nice "Farkle" kit. Large dice that are easier to see & handle, and score sheets for easy point calculation. Lots of fun for 2 players to a large group.

My 8-year old son and I love playing games. This one is great. There's a lot of counting and adding involved, so he's learning as well.

My local discount/chain stores have dropped Farkle from their toy/game shelves. It continues to be our family favorite, letting as few as 2 players and "as many as we need" players pass a few hours of time.

My family played this a lot during the holidays. None of us had ever played before and we all learned within a matter of 5 minutes or so and the fun never stopped. Really all you need are six dice and because you do have to roll them all at once, a cup comes in handy. I have the more compact version that comes with a cup with lid, six dice, and rules sheet. You really don't need a score sheet because it is very easy to just keep score on your own sheet of paper. The other version also has a nicer cup which is padded on the inside bottom so you can shake it without as much noise. I WOULD RECOMMEND SEARCHING AMAZON FOR FARKLE AND BUYING THE MORE COMPACT VERSION WHICH IS EASIER TO TRAVEL WITH AND STORE. Unfortunately Amazon's price on the more compact version is not very competitive so really I would recommend going to your local discount store and buying it. ;)

The rules are pretty easy to understand but here are some tips. If you've never played, don't bother reading the tips because they won't make sense. Just come back and read them after you get the game and have read the rules.
* The rules say you can't score your first time until you reach 500 points in a turn. We scrapped this rule but when I play again I think I will use this rule since it encourages you to gamble which is what the game is all about.
* Most of the high scores can only be achieved when you roll all six dice at once. Exceptions are three, four, or five of a kind. (There might be some other exceptions but I can't remember any off the top of my head.)
* The first time I played I was confused and thought that your turn ended after you "farkled" or had scored with all six dice. This is not correct. The only way for your turn to end is if you choose to stop or if you "farkle.
