I got this puzzle for my little one and I to work on together. She's almost 3, but likes to put the pieces together where I tell her. There is this one edge piece, that only attaches once you put the inside pieces in. It's not horrible, but is quite annoying. It's the same with the dinosaur puzzle by this company. Otherwise it's nice and we enjoy putting it together.

I'm on a constant search for a new puzzle for my 5 yo daughter and I thought the double-sided aspect would make it more challenging fo her.. I also didn't recall seeing for 3+ when I ordered this puzzle. The pieces are rather big and the colors are clearly different on both sides, so my 5 yo worked on it for probably good 10-15 minutes and it was done! I'm sure my other 20-month-old toddler daughter will have some fun with it when she's ready to solve puzzles but for now she only likes to walk on them! Overall it is nice looking puzzle of a very good quality and I woudl definitelly recommend it for the appropriate age.

My son loves puzzles and would whip through 35 piece Thomas puzzles but this one was too hard for both of us because the pieces are so big and they look so similar. I think we'll try it in half a year. For big piece puzzles, we like the Melissa and Doug car/plane/firetruck series better
