A Brilliant Guide to Greater Effectiveness,
By Coach Phil "Author of over 500 articles at ww... (Eugene, OR United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Path to Corporate Nirvana: An Enlightened Approach to Accelerated Productivity (Hardcover)
Anderson "gets it"! Productivity always comes back to individual performance, courage, taking risks and speaking the truth, and The Path to Corporate Nirvana is perfect! Anderson's willingness to share her own path shows remarkable courage, and her examples of how her clients have used the wisdom in practical, profitable ways are believable and exciting! This may be the "gold standard" as we shift from show, hierarchical, command-and-control models to faster, more efficient and more humane models of collaborative success. Brilliant! Easy to read, and more importantly, practical and easy to implement.

Corporate Nirvana's insights are for the real world,
By "shepjojo" (Fort Lauderdale, FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Path to Corporate Nirvana: An Enlightened Approach to Accelerated Productivity (Hardcover)
Corporate Nirvana was fascinating! My husband and I met at work in a corporate setting. After our children were born I left the corporate world. At first, I was attracted to Corporate Nirvana for what it might offer my husband in his corporate job. The more I read, the more the message hit home. I suspect that most marriages and basically all recurring interpersonal relationships face these same issues Ms. Anderson addresses in Corporate Nirvana. When I left the corporate world I thought I could say good-bye to "PNVs (Popping Neck Veins)," but strong emotions don't just abide in the workplace. Now that I was not bringing home the paycheck I once had, I felt compelled to justify my existence (or, in Ms. Anderson's words, p. 125, "feel...worthy of recognition") in other ways. Whether it's working with a spouse or the significant others in your daily life to manage house repairs, engineer remodeling projects, finesse finances, delegate household chores or hire help, navigate social situations, bring up children, deal with school administrators, or run errands--there are endless opportunities in life for aggravation; and so there are also endless opportunities to be "AAA," "able to appreciate the usefulness of aggravation." Corporate Nirvana showed me that by letting go of negative self judgments, I could put my ego in check, come from a place of wanting to be of service to others in my life, and develop the intuition to experience creative learning from the Spirit (all of which most recently led to this letter). Until Ms.Anderson's book I didn't have the paradigm to apply these principles consistently. Now with Corporate Nirvana, my sense of worth can be "attained independent of particular events, how projects turn out, or what results are accomplished." Thanks for the script!

The Path to Corporate Nirvana excited and inspired me to strive for bigger and better results both at work and at home. Judith's book offered valuable insight for dealing with those difficult situations we can all encounter throughout the year. I found the book both engaging and enjoyable to read. Reading the book has motivated me to take notice of how I interact with coworkers, superiors, and subordinates. More importantly, The Path to Corporate Nirvana has given me tools to use each day as I strive for accelerated productivity in a work environment where everyone contributes with ease and grace. The transformation in my work style and the positive response from my coworkers speak volumes about the book. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make this book a part of your library of resources!

Genuine enlightenment in the workplace,

This review is from: The Path to Corporate Nirvana: An Enlightened Approach to Accelerated Productivity (Hardcover)
I did not expect to enjoy this book as I am far from a new age person, and the title did not appeal to me. However, I was delighted with the unique out of the box perspective of the author. If you are a realist, you will find interest in this book.

Commitment to Continuous Learning,
By Thomas Kehl (Germany) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Path to Corporate Nirvana: An Enlightened Approach to Accelerated Productivity (Hardcover)
There is a growing trend in management literature to focus on the learning organization. Judith Anderson enriches the discussion with examples from her own experience. It is difficult to redefine workplace challenges as opportunities for learning. Her specific examples aren't purely stories of success - they are stories of loss too. The examples offer the reader opportunities to transfer theory into practice.

Bringing Our Spirits to Work,
By katie pepe (allendale, nj United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Path to Corporate Nirvana: An Enlightened Approach to Accelerated Productivity (Hardcover)
Judith Anderson provides a roadmap to a workplace which welcomes the Spirits of its employees. Of course greater productivity is achieved when workers are invited to share their creativity, grow personally and really put their "heart" into their work. By sharing personal stories with warmth and humor, Anderson sets an example of how honesty and a willingness to learn transforms relationships, leading to greater job satisfaction, reduction of ego struggles and power plays, enabling everyone to "fly" professionally.

Commitment to Continuous Learning,
By Wendy E. Brown (Lancaster, Pa. United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Path to Corporate Nirvana: An Enlightened Approach to Accelerated Productivity (Hardcover)
Judith Anderson shows how perceptions, thoughts and feelings affect the success and outcome of business relationships. The business cases presented show us that improved self-knowledge provides new ways of looking at ourselves and changes the way we understand challenging situations. Instead of "autopilot" responses, we can transform our interactions to yield a better result. Understanding ourselves from the inside enables us to affect change on the outside. What we need is a commitment to continuous learning and personal growth.

Timely, badly needed...and refreshingly candid!,
By Edward J. Gormley (HARRINGTON PARK, NJ United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Path to Corporate Nirvana: An Enlightened Approach to Accelerated Productivity (Hardcover)
Judith Anderson's modest and reverential writing style makes for easy reading. Which, to a casual reader, might belie the wisdom and depth of the theories and methods she so credibly describes. In my view, Corporate Nirvana is definitely a "must read" not only for corporate executives and MBA candidates, but also for the coaches in professional sports who are charged with leading and directing their "sometimes" moody and sensitive SUPER STARS to the playoffs.

A different approach to success,

About a month ago, I was in my boss' office for a meeting & happened to notice a copy of this book on his shelf. I asked him if I could borrow it and he said yes.As you know, sometimes things just come along at the right time. And that's how it was for me. I really needed the info in the book to get through a couple of particularly thorny issues at work. And the book's insights helped me learn how to get through it all, deal with the "negatives," & accept the positives about what happened. It also prompted me to look at how I was handling another situation at work that was not a problem, but make it better anyway. And... on top of all that, I think I got through my long holiday festivities at home with more "grace & ease," since I was in a better frame of mind about everything. So it is with this book. It will improve your work situation, your home situation, your mental situation. What I especially like about the book is that its perspective is not from one who has learned it all, knows all, or knew it all & is now imparting her omniscient wisdom to we the unknowing masses. Rather, Ms. Anderson explains the discoveries and all of the bumps in the road along the way, and acknowledges that she herself is still making what some might call "mistakes" . She is enlightened enough to look at herself & realize that she is not perfect, but just learning. For an "expert" to say that is very radical & refreshing, & I think that's what makes the book really work. Your goal is not to be perfect---just to keep learning. This book shows, through true examples (not dumb parables like some business books)how to change your orientation & be satisfied with the learning & the growing. If we and our co-workers all adopted this approach, life & work would be much better for all. I've also taken a seminar given by Ms. Anderson, back in 2001. This is a nice addition to that knowledge base--- not a substitute. Highly recommended, & worth reading over & over till you "get it"!

Silver Falls Press Review,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Path to Corporate Nirvana: An Enlightened Approach to Accelerated Productivity (Hardcover)
Anderson hones in on and stays focused on the reality of the workplace neglected or left as a vague assumption in most business books - namely human nature. Anderson combines the comprehensions of an intuitive and highly experienced psychologist with a clear understanding of the dynamics of the workplace and the purpose of business.
