Lennea Andrews and Delores Camille, assistants to reknowned archaeologist, Dr Wesley Herns, embark on a trip to Mexico to work at an excavation site. When Delores mysteriously vanishes at the crowded Mexico City Airport, Lennea is distraught. Her savior comes in the handsome guise of Joseph Darrigo. Not only does he help her clear customs, but also escorts her to Merida to meet up with Dr Herns.

Searching for an address book to call friends, Lennea digs into Delores' suitcase, hoping they can help her find the missing assistant. What she discovers instead is a huge amount of American currency hidden in a secret compartment at the bottom of the suitcase! What was Delores mixed up in? What were the implications of all this money? Lennea also wonders about Joseph. Is he really who he says he is? Can she trust him to help her or does he have his own agenda?

PATH OF THE JAGUAR, an ebook by Vickie Britton and Loretta Jackson, is an entertaining read. Set in lush scenic backgrounds, readers are sure to enjoy solving this mystery along with the heroine. The writing style is easy to read and the descriptions are wonderful. The background information and history of the Mayans and their culture makes the story even more interesting. The dialogue flows smoothly and the plot simply ensnares the reader's attention.

Britton and Jackson have given their fans a story with a twist. This is just the sort of book you'd want to curl up with if you're in the mood for a good mystery!

From the minute Lennea arrives in Mexico she has nothing but trouble. First, her friend disappears in the airport. Then she finds hidden money in her suitcase. Not wanting to go to the police until she can find Delores and talk to her, Lennea soon finds herself in danger when someone wants their money back. I have read other books by this talented duo. I like their unique settings and the fast-paced action of their books. If you liked this one you might also enjoy Arctic Legacy.
