This is the best book that I have read in a long, long time. Ms. Carlson is an excellent author. By sharing her faith in God and the healing process through each difficult part of her life took a lot of courage to bare her soul to the world. This book drew me in as if I was living each part of it myself. I found it very hard to put it down. I believe Ms. Carlson is a truely gifted author.

It continues to be my pleasure knowing Linda since I first met her in person around mid 1999. On the personal level, she is a warm and positive person who cares very much about the human condition. She is a hallmark inspiration to anyone, whom she comes in contact with. "Pathways Through Pain" is her own account of facing life-threatening circumstances. She is a unique personification of bravely facing adversities, managing to emit a warm and loving glow after all is said and done. She shows that by taking heart and minding in love (rather than in meaninglessly mattering), we all can overcome life's hardships and disappointments... with a little help from our friends in heavenly places.

This book touched my heart. Since I am going through some rough times, this book gave me courage knowing that someone else has gone through what I am going through. I feel this book is a must for any women who feels she can't go on. This is a very spiritual book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Gifts, June 29, 2001

We all face challenges daily in our lives. Whether it is as trival as running out of milk in the morning or as tramatic as the death of a spouse. It is how we face those challenges that is the essence of our lives. Personal relationships are the foundation of the world we create. So to be faced with so many challenges in our personal relationships and survive is a testament. I found this book very up lifting. To have faced adversity at so many levels and come through smiling, defines courage. The ability to discuss openly that journey and the birth of a very personal spirituality truly challenges that courage. Good luck to Ms. Carlson in her continuing adventure.
