5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal pudding
I had a lot of worries about making the Christmas pudding this year. A few years ago I had attempted to make the pudding and I had another mold and I failed miserably. The pudding just stuck to the mold and I was rather afraid of attempting to make it again. 1.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Pudding -- Terrible RUST
This pot worked great and was so simple. I made a steamed pudding and it got rave reviews.

Small update -- this pot, while it makes great pudding, rusted terribly after the first use.
I put it in the sink with water after it had cooled to let it soak overnight. There is now rust all over the lid, the bottom and sides of the pot. The rust would not...

I had a lot of worries about making the Christmas pudding this year. A few years ago I had attempted to make the pudding and I had another mold and I failed miserably. The pudding just stuck to the mold and I was rather afraid of attempting to make it again. I have since married an Englishman who doesn't think it is Christmas unless there is pudding and of course we received a pudding mold as a wedding gift. This mold help me conquer my fear of making Christmas pudding. It created the perfect dessert. (complete with the flame) The mold is easy to clean and very simple to open and close. It does of course become very very hot when it has been steaming for several hours. Which is a great sign of it conducting the heat well and cooking the pudding. I will definitely be using this every Christmas for years to come!

4.0 out of 5 stars Patisse Steam Pudding Mold, February 23, 2006
This review is from: Patisse Steam Pudding Mold, 2-Liter (Kitchen)
I decided to undertake the traditional "English Christmas Pud" endeavor, and thanks to the Patisse Steam Pudding Mold, I did it! The mold has a lid which is VERY IMPORTANT when you steam a pudding for six hours, and the price was very reasonable. For anyone interested in making a Christmas Pud, I recommend this well made, reasonably priced product! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Pudding Tin, March 18, 2008

This tin is perfect for creating stunning steamed puddings....I've used it for just about every kind of pudding you can think of...from Christmas Pudding to Golden Treacle Pudding to Steamed Banana Pudding. They all turn out beautifully and it's wonderful to have a tin with a lid that latches closed. The only caution I have is to make sure you grease the tin throughly...don't skimp on that step, the more the better, especially the bottom.

I put it in the sink with water after it had cooled to let it soak overnight. There is now rust all over the lid, the bottom and sides of the pot. The rust would not disappear, even with Bon Amie. What a huge disappointment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pot for Plum Pudding, January 15, 2007
This review is from: Patisse Steam Pudding Mold, 2-Liter (Kitchen)
I had been looking for a pot to make Plum Pudding. While I was on Amazon, I saw the pot & ordered it. When I received this item, it was great. Well I made the Plum Pudding & it came out great. I can not wait until I can order another one. Next time I make this, I will make it sooner then I did this past year. This pot works great for making Plum Pudding.

I have a new Australian son-in-law and wanted to surprise him this Christmas with English Christmas pudding, as he missed it last year. I looked everywhere and no one had these tins - not even Willams Sonoma! As always, Amazon came to the rescue! They even arrived prior to the original promise date, which was wonderful. The tins are perfect (I bought two), excellent quality, the lids and seals stayed in place and the puddings came out beautifully. They are currently curing in cognac waiting for Christmas. I highly recommend this product!

Exactly what I wanted, with the exception of the size. Most steamed pudding recipes call for 12 cups, and this only holds 8, so you have to cut recipes down. But other than the size issue, it performs beautifully. I've made several puddings in it around the holidays, including the traditional plum pudding, with great results every time. Would highly recommend. Wish they had a larger one on offer.

Christmas is coming and I was desperately looking for a pudding mold to make "Rolly Polly" for my family and friends. This is the perfect size and works wonderfully. I'd recommend it for those of you who still make homemade puddings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great molds for Plum Pudding!, October 5, 2011

Having had other pudding molds before, that rusted, were hard to open and close, these are superior. Made of aluminum, no rusting, easy open, easy close. Used them today for Jamaican Black Puddings that will be stored for a couple of months adding more rum regularly for soaking and aging. Great size, easy to use! Buy these.

My son and I decided to make a traditional English Christmas pudding for Christmas. This pan made it very easy. One tidbit of info I will give, put a piece of parchment paper over the top of pan and then put on lid. This helps so no steam will escape. Our pudding turned out great.
