Alarmingly Sweet,

I have read a couple of other books by Kevin Sampsell and was a little surprised at the tone of this book. Written as fictional letters from a woman's impending step-father, each page is sweet and touching but somehow still funny and skewed in the way that Kevin's other books are. I even had my mom read it and she couldn't stop talking about it. I understand Sampsell is a big fan of many southern authors and this little book shows that influence well with the author pegging the voice quite well.
