Editorial Reviews

Patriocracy, a voice of reason in the age of polarization. Patriocracy is a non-partisan examination of Washington dysfunction. Alan Simpson, Bob Schieffer, Eleanor Clift, Pat Buchanan, Senator Mark Warner and Senator Kent Conrad are just a few of the notable Washington personalities who offer their valuable perspectives. Patriocracy drills down and illustrates the forces that drive a wedge into the middle ground of America and the solutions required to move forward.

4.0 out of 5 stars Partisan rancor June 17, 2013
Format:DVD
I agreed with Bob Schieffer's comment about never seeing such polarization within the Congress; I've been following politics for over 40 years, and I can't remember when it's been this bad before. The film seems to be a little more biased against Republicans/"The Right", but I think that's because the far right has a little higher profile than the far left. One of the best parts of the film was how they explained the difference between real news programs, and commentary or "entertainment". That's a big one, since many people are getting their information from "entertainment" sources. A second point is the money in politics, which I think most would agree contaminates the process. Politicians on bothe sides seem to be more interested in pleasing their benefactors than the people the represent. No matter where your politics lie, you should take a look at his documentary.

2.0 out of 5 stars Clear Bias Against Conservatives March 3, 2014
Format:DVD
For example, the current polarization in America began with Barry Goldwater and Newt Gingrich. Highlights the far right tea party as a problem but doesn't mention far left. Plenty of other examples of selective reporting makes it impossible to trust any of its assertions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Nonpartisan look at politics and media November 7, 2012
Format:Amazon Instant Video|Verified Purchase
I teach Media Literacy and it is incredibly hard to find current, nonpartisan films to use in my classroom. This film was exactly what I needed to support discussion on the current state of politics and how it is portayed in the media.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! November 2, 2012

Format:DVD
Finally , a political documentary that has the refreshing air of balance. My hobby is watching political documentaries and this is the most fair and intelligent one I've ever seen.
