This product worked well in a HTPC build I just finished.
Kristian
Only complain is that it is a little too wide so it can only be inserted to the front USB, not the back one.

It's perfect and it works under each and every OS and/or computer I have tried it on.

Works smoothly with Patriot Box Office. Only complain is that it is a little too wide so it can only be inserted to the front USB, not the back one.
Strong signal. Always 5 bars. My PC at similar location can only get 3 or 4 bars

This device works extremely well in my home. However, as other reviewers have noted, it doesn't fit into the back of the Patriot Box Office. A huge design flaw that the engineers should be ashamed of, but there is an incredibly easy fix that only takes a minute or two to pull off. It took me longer to explain it below than it did to actually do it.

Locate the USB plug on the back of the Box Office and attempt to place the wireless adapter in it. It will only go in so far before the black plastic casing of the adapter hits the black plastic casing of the Box Office. Mark this spot on the Box Office and set the adapter aside. Next, take a screwdriver and hold it over an open flame or hot electric burner for 30 seconds or so. Now, apply the hot end of the screwdriver to the Box Office where you marked it. The plastic will melt away. Be careful so not to burn yourself, push a little bit as you go and be careful cleaning the melted plastic off the screwdriver. Repeat as necessary to melt away a little channel for the adapter to slide into. Let the housing cool. The adapter should now slide right into the USB plug.

I bought this to connect an older Windows 7 desktop lacking a wifi radio to my phone's hot spot and it works much better than I expected. I live in a rural area and cellular is the only broadband option (other than satellite). For the ten bucks I paid I am very pleased. It will pick up my phone signal from the opposite end of the house through a couple of walls and about 45 feet away. I have had zero problems with it after about three months use. An inexpensive solution for computers that came without wifi installed.

I have using this dongle for my old laptop / Toshina Satellite P25-S507 , Ubuntu 12.xx LTS ...
PC has upgraded wifi , Intel 2200BG card, however, my router is already moved to wifi N , thus I need to buy a N dongle for my PC.

The result is much better than Intel 2200BG.

Website : speedtest.net

Patriot dongle 300
PING : Download Speed : UPload Speed
40ms : 30.48Mbps : 5.38Mbps

Intel 2200BG
45 : 5.38 : 4.36

These are just relative measurement , however I feel internet access from OLD Laptop becomes very fast !!!

Cheers !!!

I bought this as an additional wireless adapter for my laptop. I plugged it in while wired to the network separately, and within a minute or two the right drivers had installed. I am running 64-bit Windows 7 on a Lenovo Thinkpad. It connected right away using wireless 'N'.

Pro:
+ Very portable. It's smaller than my USB thumb drive, and very light
+ Easy to insert and remove
+ Drivers auto-installed on Windows 7 64-bit
+ Cheap! at least when I bought it.

No complaints :)

Purchased the PCBOWAU2-N for use on a desktop computer upstairs (router downstairs). Signal is full and speed is fast. Used the supplied mini-cd to install the drivers and plugged in the USB adapter. Worked great, haven't heard any complaints from that desktop's users. Great buy, especially for the price.

I've been using this adapter for at least 2 years, maybe 3, and it's given me ZERO problems. It gets a little hot but it's never affected the connection. Can't recommend this model enough!
