Not a pleasurable gaming experience.,

Where do I start with listing the problems with this game? The graphics are very, very outdated. It looks like a game straight out of 1999. It's got lots of jaggies, clipping, guns sticking through buildings, character models look really bad too.
The menus are unresponsive, the hostages in the missions do not follow you half the time when they are supposed to. The plot is ludicrous. Also, the pace of this game is way,way too fast. You are running at top speed throughout the entire game and constantly spinning and moving very fast. After an hour or two of playing this game, it made me very, very dizzy and nauseous. The missions are also very short and because you are moving so fast you will complete this short game in no time at all. It all feels like an arcade shooter from the 90s. There are just hordes and hordes of enemies who come pouring out at you at a seemingly endless rate. Patriots Nation Under Fire just wasn't a pleasant gaming experience for me, even at a budget price it's just not worth it.

I was pretty disappointed with this game. Apart from the fact the the graphics were pretty lame, the AI was poor and the game play was very much the same from level to level. I should have know there was a reason the game was so cheap. I wanted it to be at least passable but just as it was getting to that stage. The game was over, trust me this is a very short game. Please do not waste your money.

I am still kicking myself for talking myself into spending $24 for the game AND shipping, etc.... I won't bore you with details. Wait for when it's available for $0.01 and then let your little cousin use it for a BB gun target. Yeah. It's THAT bad.

The WORST Game I Have Ever Encountered!,

Yup, you have read the title correctly. It is the single most horrendous game I have ever bought. And this is saying A LOT considering I play many budget title games. The whole game is just atrocious! From the graphics all the way to the box art. Every single little detail of this game makes me want to be a serial killer! IT'S THAT FREAKIN' BAD!
The person who gave this piece of trash 4 stars is probably a newly reformed Amish who has never played a videogame in his life or just easily entertained because the last thing I would do is give this spawn from hell anything over 0 stars. Why can't we rate this lower than 1 star? THIS GAME DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE A STAR RATING OPTION AT ALL! The graphics are really bad...It's sub-par with pong. Game play is boring, repetative, and dull. I'd rather watch my grandma knit socks than play this sad excuse of a game. The only redeeming factor that I could think of for this game is that it has blood, but even the blood physics are horrible. It's just like doom. When you shoot a person the blood seems to be like a 2D paper cut out image of a splatter that comes out of someone and then falls through the ground with no aparent splash marks afterwards. WAH WAH WAH!!!111 But what ticks me off the most is that the progammers don't have the decency to put ragdoll physics into this game. For one, I RUV (Asian way to say love. BTW, I'm Asian so don't take offence) ragdoll physics. It makes a crappy game a teeny weeny itty bitty tiny bit better, but NO! We have crappy animated deaths! So ten years ago! All I can say about this game is to STAY FAR AWAY FROM IT! I rather be closer to a person who has leprosy than to be in the same vicinity of this game! KILL IT WITH FIRE! Or actually, better off NUKING IT! They should use this game as an interrogating device. Forget pulling off finger nails. Make em' play Patriots!- Mike G

Patriots: A Nation Under Fire is a fantastic game for the budget-minded or budget-game-liking consumer who wants a game to just sit down and have fun with. As with most budget games, Patriots has it's fair share of quirkiness, but that's what makes these games so much fun! I give praise to the development team. They obviously worked very hard on this game.
First, some good points: -Great weapon selection -Awesome sound effects, the guns sound very realistic -Lots of blood and gore...shoot a terrorist up close and see what happens to his head! -Nicely designed levels -Enemy AI is pretty good Now, some areas for improvement: -Load times are pretty long -Menu could be slighty better designed -Some levels are very hard, probably more than necessary. Overall, Patriots is a nice game from this budding team! |
